Adrian joined Standard Chartered and became Group Company Secretary in May 2022. He is a lawyer, having qualified in 1997.
Career
Adrian was previously General Counsel for Vivo Energy PLC, a FTSE-250 pan-African fuel retailer, where he was responsible for the: Company Secretarial, Governance, Ethics, Compliance and Forensic Investigations functions and was a member of the group’s Executive Committee.
After working in private practice at international law firms Hogan Lovells and Clifford Chance, Adrian served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at IQSA Group (a Goldman Sachs private equity business); Company Secretary at Barclays Bank UK PLC, General Counsel and Company Secretary of the FTSE 100 company, Land Securities Group PLC, where he was a member of the Group’s Executive Committee and Head of Legal at SABMiller Europe.
