Philip Panaino

Global Head of Cash Management

Philip is responsible for leading the execution of the Cash Management business globally, managing a team of group and regional product specialists. In addition, he is part of the Leadership team for the Transaction Bank. He is a passionate African and enjoys various community development initiatives.

He was previously heading the Transaction Banking business for the West region (Americas, Europe, Africa and Middle East). He joined the Bank in 2014 from MasterCard, where he was Division President, South Africa. Prior to MasterCard Philip lead the Transaction Banking business for Citi.

In his current role, he brings extensive experience in transaction banking, cash management, payments innovation and corporate strategy on more than 23 years’ experience working in transaction banking working with multinational corporate, technology companies as well as financial institutions.

He is passionate about building client centricity into the business model to ensure we add value to our clients, and in coaching individuals to deliver their personal strengths, achieving high quality financial returns for the Bank.

Philip is married to Natasha and has been blessed with two sons Aldo and Marno. He is a keen South African Art and Indigenous Cycad collector, enjoys cooking and gardening.
