Introducing the Women In Tech programme.
This programme is aimed at supporting female-led businesses enabled by technologies, aligning with calls for more diversity in tech and creating more opportunities for women to develop entrepreneurial and leadership expertise.
The purpose of Women In Tech programme in Pakistan is to provide support designed to target early-to-mid stage professionals from technology and business sectors – females who are most likely to have the requisite domain knowledge, experience, and perseverance to deliver results.
Committed to being digital by design, the Bank is proud of partnering with INNOVentures Global (Private) Limited to support female-led businesses enabled by technologies to grow their businesses.
The overall goal for Women In Tech will be to provide guidance and mentorship to female-led businesses enabled by technologies across Pakistan with the following specific objectives:
To enhance the role of women entrepreneurs through trainings
To generate business outputs that help to build the capacity of existing businesses targeting female-led businesses enabled by technologies
To promote the sharing of knowledge about female-led businesses enabled by technologies
To summarise the challenges for female-led businesses specific to Pakistan and outline activities needed to improve and support the technological infrastructure for female-led businesses enabled by technologies
To establish a foundation for strengthening cooperation and network building between female-led businesses enabled by technologies globally
To learn about global project organisation, network building and investment readiness
We are seeking to recruit the best entrepreneurial minds, female-led businesses of two to three people who are enabled by technology and are key drivers of innovation in business. Applicants are welcome from across Pakistan.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be a female-led business
Must be a technology venture or a traditional business seeking to use technology to grow significantly.
Significant Growth and/or Impact potential.
Must have an initial plan to scale or be technologically enabled to scale by using the seed grant, mentoring and other support.
The bank’s investment in the business/venture must make a material difference.
