Standard Chartered Supportive Measures

The Covid-19 pandemic has, no doubt, impacted certain individuals and businesses in Brunei. As such, Standard Chartered is introducing the following relief measures for our clients who seek financial assistance, due to the impact of the virus outbreak.

The following relief measures have been put in place.

Funds Transfers

SERVICES
DESCRIPTION
RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement – BND10) and ACH (Auto Clearing House – BND2) charges
  • Waived until 30th June 2022 when performing inter-bank fund transfers online for all individual,  business and global banking clients.

Credit Cards

SERVICES DESCRIPTION
Card Term Loan                                                       
  • You can apply to convert your credit card outstanding balance into a term loan with a maximum tenor of up to 3 years at an interest rate of 7.5% per annum (Effective Rate is 13.69% based on 36 months tenor).
  • Latest date of application is 30th June 2022.

Personal Loan

SERVICES DESCRIPTION
Principal Moratorium or deferment  
  • You will only need to service the interest on your loan as your monthly repayment.
  • The principal repayment is postponed/deferred during this period.
  • The relief period of principal moratorium must end by 30th June 2022.
Loan Restructuring
  • You can apply to have your existing loan tenor extended for up to 10 years. This will automatically reduce the monthly instalment of your loan.
  • Latest date of application is 30th June 2022.

Home Loan

SERVICES DESCRIPTION
Principal Moratorium or deferment
  • You will only need to service the interest on your loan as your monthly repayment.
  • The principal repayment is postponed/deferred during this period.
  • The relief period of principal moratorium must end by 30th June 2022.

Business Loans
