Earn while you learn
Our UK Apprenticeship Programme gives you the opportunity to start your career in banking straight from school while gaining meaningful business experience, professional development and industry exposure from day one. You’ll work as part of a team on real projects and day-to-day business activities, developing practical skills while learning from experienced colleagues across our truly global Bank.
Alongside your role, you’ll follow a structured development journey that includes technical learning, business-led training, digital learning pathways, networking opportunities and ongoing support from your People Leader, buddies and the Early Careers team. You’ll build skills across areas such as communication, problem solving, collaboration, commercial awareness and digital capability, while gaining insight into how different parts of the Bank work together.
This programme is designed to help you grow your confidence, accelerate your development and build strong foundations for a long-term career in an international Bank. You don’t need previous banking experience – we’re looking for potential, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
We provide two entry routes
Markets
We support our clients in managing trading risk, raising capital and diversifying investments. It’s a business about relationships and working closely with clients across our global network. We offer our clients a comprehensive range of products which means there’s lots for you to learn and get involved in.
Banking and Coverage
Our roles within Banking and Coverage provide a comprehensive grounding in corporate and commercial banking. You’ll work directly with a diverse range of business and corporate customers alongside Corporate, Financial Institutions and Commercial Bankers (CIB). You’ll be able to explore how your skills can adapt to different areas of our business and develop new expertise to kick-start your career.
