About the Client Coverage Apprenticeship Programme
You’ll complete a 2 year programme including the Level 4 Investment Operations Specialist Apprenticeship with a focus on investment management, investment consulting, trading and reporting activities. Within the qualification you will complete the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) - Investment Operations Certificate
What you’ll gain
Broad knowledge of Client Coverage including trade facilitation and capital and investment flows in and for our footprint. As well as experience of working with some of the most influential local/global corporates and guiding clients through our products and solutions.
What you’ll do
- Work with senior bankers on new business origination activities in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of industry trends and client analysis.
- Project work including pitch books and sector research.
About the Client Coverage team

Our roles within Client Coverage provide a comprehensive grounding in corporate and commercial banking. You’ll work directly with a diverse range of business and corporate customers alongside Corporate, Financial Institutions and Commercial Bankers. You’ll be able to explore how your skills can adapt to different areas of our business, while developing new skills to help kick-start your career in the CCIB Client Coverage.
Client Coverage team areas include:
- Credit Analysis
- Relationship Management
- Client Management
What you need to apply?
We’re looking for potential, not academics. This means we won’t look at your grades, but we’d like to see that you’re committed to your learning and development beyond your GCSEs. This could be through traditional education but doesn’t have to be.
Eligibility
The Government’s Apprenticeship funding requires candidates to have lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 consecutive years. If you’re enrolled at university or have gained a degree or higher qualification, you’re not eligible for our Apprenticeship Programmes, however we encourage you to apply for our Internship or Graduate opportunities.
