^ “Relationship Balance” includes the aggregate balance of deposits, investments, accumulated premiums of selected insurance, utilised amounts of secured/unsecured overdraft facilities, outstanding balances on Standard Chartered credit cards and outstanding balances of Standard Chartered Personal Loans you maintain with Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Bank”) under personal accounts. The Relationship Balance of your personal account will also include the MPF account balance under Manulife Global Select (MPF) Scheme where you authorise and consent the Bank to receive your MPF account information.

Standard Chartered credit cards refer to Standard Chartered Credit Card and Standard Chartered cobranded credit card (including supplementary cards and corporate cards) issued by the Bank. 1.“New Clients” refer to those who are NOT holding any banking products or services with or distributed by the Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”) (including but not limited to deposit account, investment service and insurance products underwritten by the third-party insurer) in past 12 months from the date of signing up for Priority Private/Priority Banking except Standard Chartered Credit Cards.

2.New clients sign up for Priority Banking may enjoy up to HKD22,000 cash rebate or 220,000 Asia Miles for depositing at least HKD7,000,000 new funds and fulfil all requirements; New clients sign up for Priority Private may enjoy up to HKD28,000 cash rebate or 280,000 Asia Miles for depositing at least HKD8,000,000 new funds and fulfil all requirements. 3.Eligible clients who choose Asia Miles as the rewards for New Funds Growth Offer must register on the designated webpage at sc.com/hk/AM from 1 August to 30 November 2022. Relevant Asia Miles will be credited directly to the eligible client’s Asia Miles membership account.

4.The Mobile Sign-up Reward is only applicable to new clients who did not hold any deposit account, including Savings Account, Current / Cheque Account, Integrated Deposits Account and Time Deposit Account, with Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited in the past 12 months from the date of the current submission of an application for an Integrated Deposit Account via SC Mobile.

6.Priority Private clients may enjoy up to HKD16,500 cash rebate or 165,000 Asia Miles; and only applicable to those who (i) have not been Priority Private or Priority Banking clients in the past 12 months or (ii) sign up for Priority Private on or before the last day of the next calendar month from the date of signing up for Priority Banking.

8.“Total Balance” includes the aggregate balance of deposits, investments and accumulated premiums of selected insurance of a primary account holder under his or her account. The balance of a joint account will only be counted as the Total Balance of the primary account holder.

9.Only applicable to clients who sign up a Bonus Payroll Account during 1 June 2022 to 30 September 2022 and have not used the Bank’s auto-payroll services in the past 12 months prior to the date of signing up for the Bonus Payroll Account. 10. The bank is not an agent of the designated bank and shall only provide clients with witnessing service for account opening purposes. Acceptance of your account opening application is subject to the sole and final discretion of the designated bank.

11. The exact time needed for receiving the fund depends on several factors, such as the remittance currency type, the processing time of payment intermediaries and the clearing mechanism of local and payee banking.

Important Notes for Investment Fund Service:

Important Notes for Life Insurance:

Important Notes for Priority Banking Multi-Currency Mastercard Debit Card:

  • The Multi-Currency Debit Card must be linked to the Account that you open or hold with the Bank with the supported currencies including HKD, USD, RMB*, AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, JPY, NZD, SGD (“Supported Currencies”). In case of disputes, the Bank has the sole and final discretion to determine the primary account that is linked to or tied to the Multi-Currency Debit Card.

* Integrated Deposits Account RMB savings and current account are available to valid Hong Kong ID holders only.

  • If there is insufficient available foreign currencies in the Account to settle the full amount of the transaction, or the transaction made is denominated in a currency outside of the supported 11 currencies of the Account, the transaction amount will be converted into HKD at an exchange rate we reasonably consider appropriate and the equivalent converted amount in HKD will be debited from the linked HKD Account. A foreign exchange rate mark-up fee of 95% on the full amount of the transaction will be charged to the Account. Please note that in case you have insufficient funds in HKD, the transaction will be rejected.   • Foreign exchange involves risks. Fluctuation in the exchange rate of a foreign currency may result in gains or significant losses in the event that the customer converts deposit from the foreign currency to another currency (including Hong Kong Dollar).
  • Renminbi (“RMB”) exchange rate, like any other currency, is affected by a wide range of factors and is subject to fluctuations.
