      Standard Chartered Branches Christmas 2017 Promotion Terms and Conditions

      1. This Standard Chartered Branches Christmas 2017 Promotion (“Branch Promotion”) is organised by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) and will be held from 4 to 31 December 2017, (both dates inclusive), or whilst stocks last, whichever is earlier (“Promotion Period”).
      2. The Branch Promotion is open to any existing or new customers of the Bank (each a “Customer”, collectively “Customers”).

      Participation

      1. To receive the Christmas tote bags (each, a “Bag”, collectively “Bags”), you must sign up for a Savings / Current / Deposit account offered by the Bank (each, a “Qualifying Product”), at all our Bank branches (each, a “Branch”, collectively “Branches”) except the Jurong Point (Express Banking Centre) branch (located at 63 Jurong West Central 3, #01-85/86, Jurong Point Shopping Centre, Singapore 648331), subject to availability of the Bags at that particular participating Branch.
      2. Limited to one (1) Bag per Customer, regardless of the number of Qualifying Products the Customer signs up for. For the avoidance of doubt, Customers signing up for a Qualifying Product on a joint basis will only be entitled to one (1) Bag.
      3. Please note that subscriptions or sign-ups for our online services will not be considered a Qualifying Product.
      4. There is a maximum of 4,500 Bags across all Branches and they are on a while-stocks-last and first-come-first-served basis. The Bags are strictly non-transferable, non-assignable, non-exchangeable whether in full or in part and non-redeemable for cash or credit or otherwise.
      5. All Bags must be examined for defect on the same day at the time of receipt. No exchange or return request will be entertained at.any time thereafter.
      6. All decisions of the Bank are final and binding, and no objection, challenge, appeal or correspondence on any grounds will be entertained (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reason).

      General

      1. By participating in this Branch Promotion and/or otherwise signing up for any of the banking products and services offered by the Bank in Singapore:
        1. you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any other terms and conditions that govern your banking relationship with the Bank and/or otherwise applicable to the products and services provided by the Bank to you, copies of which are available at the Bank’s website at sc.com/sg (collectively, the “Terms and Conditions”); and
        2. you consent to the Bank’s collection, holding, storage, use, processing, transfer, disclosure and/or reporting (whether directly or indirectly) to any relevant third party, of your personal data and/or information provided to the Bank, including but not limited to, for the purposes of administering, organising and promoting this Branch Promotion, or otherwise for purposes relating to this Branch Promotion; and you further consent and acknowledge that your personal data and/or information (i) will also be processed in line with the Bank’s privacy statement available at sc.com/sg/privacy; and (ii) may be used in accordance with the Bank’s policies, terms and conditions or notices made available by the Bank to you from time to time.
      2. The Bags may be forfeitable at the sole and absolute discretion of the Bank if the Bags are not collected, at the Branch the Customer signs up for the Qualifying Product and immediately after signing up, or at all. Upon the exercise of such discretion by the Bank, the Customer shall forfeit all rights and entitlement to the Bag. All decisions of the Bank are final and binding, and no objection, challenge, appeal or correspondence on any grounds will be entertained (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reason).
      3. No payment or compensation whether in cash, credit or kind shall be made for any uncollected, lost, misplaced, defaced, stolen or damaged Bags. The Bags are provided by third party merchants who are not participants or sponsors of this Branch Promotion. The Bank is not an agent of the merchants supplying the Bags. The Bank makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, value, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the Bags and assume no liability or responsibility for the acts or omissions of the merchants or any non-performance or defects in the Bags. Any dispute about the quality, value, condition or performance of the Bags shall be resolved by the Customers directly with the respective merchants.
      4. The Bank reserves the right to replace or substitute the Bags with any item of equivalent or similar value, without prior notice or reason (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reason).
      5. Except for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Bank, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bank and members of the Bank’s group shall have no liability in respect of, and will be indemnified from and against, any liability, loss, claim, damage or costs of any kind (including legal costs) to any person or entity, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, whether by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a Bag, or participation in this Branch Promotion, or otherwise.
      6. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this Branch Promotion, including your eligibility and the applicable criteria. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to, arising out of or in connection with this Branch Promotion (including but not limited to your eligibility to participate in this Branch Promotion) shall be final, conclusive and binding and, no objection, challenge, appeal or correspondence on any grounds will be entertained (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reason).
      7. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
      8. The Bank reserves the right to vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of these terms and conditions, or to terminate, withdraw this Branch Promotion, or to extend or shorten the Promotion Period, without prior notice or reason (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reason).
      9. This Branch Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions, save for the following promotions:
        1. Standard Chartered Singapore Dollar Time Deposit (1st to 31st December 2017) Promotion
        2. Bonus$aver Sign-up Gift (1 November 2017 – 31 January 2018) Promotion
        3. e$aver Bonus Interest (1 December 2017 to 31 January 2018) Promotion
      10. These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with the Bank’s Customer Terms, Current/Cheque/Savings Account and Time Deposit Terms, Bonus$aver Product Terms and the relevant products and/or programme terms (collectively, “Standard Terms”). If there are any inconsistencies between these terms and the Standard Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistencies.
      11. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.

      Deposit Insurance Scheme

      Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$50,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured.
