      FAQs

      • Standard Chartered (“Bank”) clients can earn 360° Rewards Points, cashback (as the case may be) or Bonus Interest (in the case of Bonus$aver credit cards) when they make eligible payments to education institutions, insurance premiums, rental or the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (“IRAS”) with their Bank credit cards.

      • Yes, there is a non-refundable, up to 1.9% processing fee applicable for each eligible SC EasyBill transaction.

        The SC EasyBill fee is not a fixed amount and will vary according to the SC EasyBill facility chosen on the Online Application. During the application of SC EasyBill, the fee will be reflected once the type of eligible payment (IRAS, Rental, Education or Insurance) is selected and prior to submitting the online application.

        You can also check the SC EasyBill amount and fee via your monthly e-Statement or hardcopy statement.

      • SC EasyBill is a rewards programme that allows clients to earn 360° Rewards Points, cashback (as the case may be) or Bonus Interest (in the case of Bonus$aver credit cards) when they make eligible payments to education institutions, insurance premiums, rental or the IRAS using their Bank credit card.

        EasyPay, on the other hand, is an instalment programme that converts eligible transactions of more than S$500 into instalments of 6 and 12 months.

        Clients can choose to use EasyPay to convert eligible SC EasyBill payments over S$500 into instalments.

      • All principal and supplementary cardholders of the Bank’s credit cards can apply for SC Easybill via www.sc.com/sg/bank-with-us/manage-your-finances/easybill/

      • No, as eligible payments are limited only to the Singapore bank accounts listed on the Online Application.

      • You should receive a confirmation SMS (successful or unsuccessful) once the SC EasyBill transaction is processed.

      • Unfortunately, applications cannot be cancelled once submitted.

      • The Bank will not be responsible for any errors, where incorrect beneficiary details were provided or when an incorrect beneficiary received the funds; you will have to liaise directly with the recipient to retrieve the funds.

        We remind all clients to ensure that they provide the correct beneficiary details on the SC EasyBill Online Application as the Bank will process the payment request as per the information provided.

      • Unfortunately, the processing fee cannot be waived.

      • You can check the SC EasyBill amount and fee via your monthly e-Statement or hardcopy statement.

      • An option for recurring payments is currently not available. You will need to submit a new request for each eligible payment.

         

      • The eligible payment will take up to 7 business days to process, starting from the time of submission of the Online Application.

      • Please contact the IRAS directly to make any changes in payment instruction.

      • You should always do so before the payment due date as stated on your credit card statement. If the payment is not received in full, the relevant fees and charges would be applied as per the credit card’s Terms & Conditions.

      • The IRAS tax payable amount indicated on your payment request, along with your Tax Identification Number (TIN), will be processed and credited directly to your tax account within 7 to 10 working days of your payment request, if your application is successful.

         

      • The Bank will not be able to initiate or assist with any refund proceedings. You will have to reach out to your SC EasyBill beneficiary directly, in this case the IRAS, on this matter.

      • For insurance billers not on the list, please fill in all the details of your insurance biller.

        Note: all SC EasyBill beneficiary details will need to be verified by you. Failure to provide correct SC EasyBill beneficiary details on the Online Application may result in the SC EasyBill amount being credited into an incorrect bank account.

      Deposit Insurance Scheme

      Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$75,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured.
