Credit Card Funds Transfer (also known as balance transfer) is a credit facility offered by the Bank.

As an existing credit cardholder, taking up a Credit Card Funds Transfer gives you access to short-term funds at 0% interest during your approved tenure, based on your available credit limit .

As for new clients, we will provide you with a Standard Chartered Simply Cash Credit Card (offering 1.5% cashback on card spends) and the Credit Card Funds Transfer facility will utilise the credit limit assigned to the new credit card on approval.

We offer 4 different loan tenures at 0% interest p.a. – 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months.

The minimum amount that can be transferred is S$1,000, while the maximum is 95% of the total available credit limit of the Standard Chartered Credit Card account that you’ve indicated in the application form or that has been assigned to you on approval of your new credit card.

Consolidating your credit card debts can reduce your interest payments and help you manage your financial situation.

Use the calculator above to find out your potential interest savings with Credit Card Funds Transfer.

Yes. An application for a Credit Card Funds Transfer will draw down from your existing credit limit. As and when you make repayments to your Credit Card Funds Transfer account, the available credit limit on your credit card will increase.

      For new clients:

This is dependent on our lending criteria, which includes factors such as your credit rating and income levels, which will first have to be assessed by the Bank.

      For existing clients:

This is dependent on your available credit limit, as you can only use up to 95% of your available credit limit for Credit Card Funds Transfer. For example: If your available credit limit is S$10,000, the maximum Credit Card Funds Transfer amount is S$9,500.

Upon expiry of your approved tenure, If you fail to repay your full Credit Card Funds Transfer amount (including any applicable fees, charges or interests), the prevailing interest rate of 29.9% will be applicable to your outstanding balance.

In addition, if you are late with a payment for any of your Standard Chartered Credit Card, Personal Loan or Credit Card Funds Transfer, the prevailing interest rate of 29.9% will also be applicable. Please refer to FAQ “What happens if I’m late on my minimum monthly repayment?” for details.

The minimum monthly repayment is 1% of the total remaining principal OR $50 (whichever is greater), plus interest, fees and charges as reflected on your credit card statement.

A flat late payment fee of S$100 will apply in the event of default on payment due date.

Following that, if the minimum repayment due is not received in full on or before the next Statement Date, late interest of 29.9% p.a. will be applied on all your Credit Card Funds Transfer accounts from the next Statement Date and reflected in the statement of the subsequent month.

Late interest will be calculated on a daily basis at the EIR of 29.9% p.a. (0.081% per day).

If you have missed only one payment during the approved tenure, the applicable interest rate will be reinstated to the promotional interest rate once minimum payment is made in full.

However, note that if the minimum monthly repayment is missed for two or more consecutive months, the promotional interest rate may be withdrawn and the EIR will remain at 29.9% p.a. after minimum payment has been made in full on your overdue account for the relevant months.

Example: If the minimum repayment due is not received in full by the payment due date (4 May), a flat late payment fee of S$100 will be charged on the payment due date (4 May).

If the minimum monthly repayment due is not received in full on or before the next Statement Date (12 May), late interest of 29.9% p.a. will be applied on all your Credit Card Funds Transfer accounts from the next Statement Date (12 May) and reflected in the statement of the subsequent month (12 June).

No, there is no early redemption fee charged if you decide to pay off the outstanding balance of your Credit Card Funds Transfer before the expiry of your approved tenure.
