A Credit Limit Review allows you to request for a permanent credit limit increase of your unsecured credit facilities with us, excluding Overdraft account(s).
The revised credit limit will apply to and is shared among all your credit card(s) and all corresponding supplementary credit card(s) authorised by you. If you are an existing customer of Trust Bank Singapore Limited (“Trust”), the revised credit limit will be a combined credit limit shared across Standard Chartered Bank Singapore Limited and Trust.
You may apply for a Credit Limit Review through our Website, Online Banking or SC Mobile application.
Your Credit Limit Review application may be declined due to ineligible criteria, incomplete application or insufficient income documents provided. Please refer to ‘Important information’ for eligibility criteria to apply for a Credit Limit Review.
Please note that all applications are still subjected to the Bank’s review.
Once submitted, your application for the Credit Limit Review cannot be cancelled. The outcome of the Credit Limit Review will be notified to the Cardholder via email.
Review of your credit limit is conducted at the Bank’s discretion based on local regulations, your income documents provided, indicated preferred credit limit and subject to credit and risk policies. This review may result in an increase or decrease of your overall credit limit for your unsecured credit facilities held with the Bank.
Your credit limit may have been revised due to the following reasons:
- There was a credit limit review initiated by the Bank. You should receive an SMS or a letter notifying you on the revision of credit limit. OR
- If you have recently applied for a credit card or any credit facilities with Trust Bank Singapore Limited (“Trust”), your credit limit with Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) may be revised as your credit limit is a combined credit limit shared across the Bank and Trust. Please note that overlimit fee(s) may apply if you have not paid down your outstanding balances before the credit limit revision takes place.
