Our community strategy focuses on supporting charities and causes that are locally relevant and impactful. In line with our commitment to sustainable economic and social development, we will continue to step up our community efforts along with deepening our presence in Singapore.

The Standard Chartered Foundation (“Foundation”) was established in 2019 with a mission to tackle inequality by empowering young people, especially women and persons with disabilities, to secure decent work and create jobs. Previously known as Futuremakers, this global flagship initiative for community impact has enabled over 100,000 jobs for young people, and touched over 200,000 lives from 2019 to 2025.

Some of our notable support includes:

• Youth Employment for Success (Y.E.S.) in partnership with Daughters of Tomorrow: Supports young women in building confidence, agency, and capacity to work through targeted job readiness training, connecting work-ready participants to stable employment opportunities, and providing post-employment support to enhance job retention, advancement, and well-being.
• Sneak Peek Programme, in partnership with SG Her Empowerment: Provided opportunities for more than 200 less-privileged girls to gain exposure and cultural capital beyond their immediate environment through learning visits.
• Women in Entrepreneurship (WiE) Incubator, in partnership with Singapore Management University’s Lien Centre for Social Innovation: Supported 20 female-led enterprises to gain access to mentorship, network, resources, and support needed to thrive.
• Family Empowerment Programme, in partnership with AWWA and Temasek Trust: Helped 315 beneficiaries across 75 lower-income families prioritise their long-term employment, skills-training, and education goals.
• #SheEmployed Programme, in partnership with Generation Singapore: Supported the employment and employability of 135 young women and placed the majority in healthcare-related roles.

We offer every employee three days paid volunteering leave annually. Colleagues can use this resource to participate in Bank-organised activities, or personal charitable endeavours. Our focus is on skills-based volunteering, which includes providing financial education, digital literacy skills, and mentoring youth.

In 2025, our employees worldwide contributed over 410,000 volunteering hours. In Singapore, nearly 50% of our colleagues volunteered at least once, contributing over 41,000 hours (including more than 8,300 hours of skills-based volunteering) to support locally relevant social causes.
