Standard Chartered Credit Card Sign-Up Promotion Frequently Asked Questions

1. I received an email from Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (SCBSL) informing that I am eligible for X months of Disney+ subscription (“Offer”). How do I proceed with the redemption?

The email from SCBSL contains a Disney+ redemption url for you to redeem your Disney+ subscription. Please click on the redemption url and you will be directed to the Disney+ site to proceed with the redemption. In case you are unable to complete the subscription using the redemption url, you can use the Disney+ redemption code at www.disneyplus.com/scb to complete the subscription process.

Click on the Disney+ redemption url, enter an email address and password to create your Disney+ account and add payment details to complete your account set-up and redeem your Disney+ subscription. Please note that you will also need to accept the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement, and acknowledge the Privacy Policy and Supplemental Privacy Policy for Singapore.

If you are an existing Disney+ subscriber, please head to Q4 for more information.

2. How soon will I get my Disney+ redemption url/code?

You will receive your Disney+ redemption url/code via email within 60 working days of meeting the requirements set out in the terms and conditions of the promotion.

3. I am an existing Disney+ subscriber, can I use this Disney+ redemption url / code to extend my current subscription?

This Disney+ redemption url / code is only for new Disney+ subscribers or customers with no active subscription. You will not be able to redeem the url / code if you are currently subscribed to Disney+.

When your existing Disney+ subscription expires and you no longer have an active subscription, you may register for the offer using the Disney+ redemption url / code provided it is within the validity period stated in the email you receive / promotion terms and conditions.

4. I am unable to redeem the Disney+ redemption url / code given to me by SCB, why is that so? 

This Disney+ redemption url / code is only for new Disney+ subscribers or customers with no active subscription. You will not be able to use the url / code if you are currently subscribed to Disney+.

5. Why do I have to input my payment details into the Disney+ redemption page? Will I be charged for the subscription?

Payment details are a requirement from Disney+ to complete the account set-up. You will not be billed during the period where subscription is complimentary.

6. The offer extended to me is for a 6-month complimentary Disney+ subscription plan. Will I be charged on the 7th month and what is the monthly subscription fee?

The subscription will be automatically renewed at the start of the 7th month and the prevailing monthly retail rate (currently S$11.98/month) will be charged to the payment method provided at point of registration. Please visit https://www.disneyplus.com/en-sg to find out more on Disney+ subscription fees. If you do not want to be charged on the 7th month, you may cancel any time before to avoid being charged.

This also applies to the 3 month complimentary Disney+ subscription plans (i.e. you will need to cancel before commencement of the 4th month in order to avoid being charged the prevailing monthly retail rate).

Please note that the Disney+ subscription period starts once a cardholder successfully redeems the Disney+ redemption url / code and receives the success confirmation message shown in Q3 above.

7. Is there an expiry date for the Disney+ redemption url/code and can it be extended?

The Disney+ redemption url / code should be redeemed within 3 months of receiving the e-dm containing the code/url sent by SCBSL.

8. Can I use any email address to create my Disney+ account?

You may choose to use any email address for your account set-up so long as it as it is not associated with an active Disney+ subscription.

9. Is the Disney+ redemption url/code transferrable?

You can choose to share your redemption url/code, however please note that the url/code can only be redeemed once.

10. I accidently deleted the email from SCBSL with the Disney+ redemption details. How can I request for another Disney+ redemption url/code?

You may contact the bank via chat or call to request for the email to be re-sent. Visit https://www.sc.com/sg/help/contact-us/ to chat with us.

11. If I cancel my SCBSL card before the fulfilment, will I still receive the Disney+ redemption url/code?

You will not be eligible for the promotion and will not be issued the Disney+ redemption url/code.
