Frequently Asked Questions – Visa SmartDelay

Visa SmartDelay is an exclusive service available to all SC Smart credit cardholders. In the event of a flight delay exceeding one hour, you and one guest will receive complimentary access to selected airport lounges worldwide, where you can relax in comfort while waiting for your flight.

Visa SmartDelay is provided as a complimentary benefit to all SC Smart credit cardholders. There is also no requirement to charge your travel fare to the Smart credit card to be eligible for this benefit.

There is no limit to the number of times you can enjoy Visa SmartDelay so long you continue to be a valid SC Smart credit cardholder, and have experienced a flight delay exceeding one hour.

Step 1: Prior to your flight, complete the customer flight registration process here. You would be required to provide your SC Smart credit card number.

Step 2: Post registration, you will receive an email confirmation with subject Visa SmartDelay – “Your Flight Registration” acknowledging that your flight is being tracked.

Step 3: If your flight is delayed for more than an hour, you would automatically be sent an email notification of the delay along with a digital lounge access voucher (“LoungeKey Pass”). Then, proceed to your designated airport lounge.

You can only register for one guest. You can therefore only receive a maximum of two LoungeKey Passes (for cardholder and one guest) for each registered flight.

Yes. However, if your principal Smart credit cardholder has already registered for the flight, you would not be able to register for the same flight.

Both principal and supplementary cardholder can therefore only receive a maximum of two LoungeKey Passes (for cardholder and one guest) for each registered flight.

You can only access over 1,600 airport lounges around the world upon registration and in the event your flight delay exceeds one hour. All you have to do is show the LoungeKey Pass to allow entry for yourself and one guest.
