Clients are required to reserve new and fit notes via the online reservation system on sc.com/sg. The reservation period is from 27 January to 9 February 2026. The reservation will start at 12:00am on 27 January. You may choose your preferred date, time, and branch to collect your new and/or fit notes. The collection period is between 3 and 15 February 2026 (both dates inclusive).

Please note that the collection time slots and bank note denominations are both subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. The online reservation system may close before 9 February if all the collection time slots and notes are reserved.

Only Standard Chartered Singapore clients who hold a current, cheque or savings account with the Bank are eligible to make a reservation request. Your account must have sufficient funds at the time of collection. If you only have a credit card with the bank, please set up a deposit account for deduction of funds prior to the collection.

Each account holder can only make one online reservation request.

If you submit another reservation request, you will be directed to an error page. Only your first submission will be considered valid.

This is to cater for more of our clients. If you require additional new notes, you can opt for our Fit-for-Gifting notes (Fit Notes) bundle either via the online reservation system on sc.com/sg or when collecting your new notes at the branch.

There are limited number of slots available at each branch. You may select other branches with available slots to collect your new notes. Kindly note that slots and note availability are on first-come, first-served basis.

We apologise that you will not be allowed to make any amendments to the timeslot, date or branch once your reservation is confirmed. If the notes remain uncollected on that day, the reservation will be automatically canceled without further notice to you.

You will need to bring along your NRIC/ or any identification document and provide the reservation number indicated in the confirmation email or SMS sent to you at the branch.

Please ensure that the debit account you wish to deduct from has sufficient funds.

Yes, you will be given a Q number specifically for the exchange of new notes. Please feel free to approach our staff at the branch if you need any help.

No. Please note that an online reservation is required for exchange of new notes on a first-come, first-served basis, except for clients aged 60 and above, or with special needs. For these clients, you may visit our branches between 3 to 15 February 2026 without any prior reservation to exchange for new notes, whilst stocks last. For clients without a reservation, you may walk into any branch and exchange for Fit-for-Gifting notes (Fit Notes) only, whilst stocks last as well.

We understand how important it is to receive the amount of new notes requested for. However, due to high demand, the denominations requested at the time of booking may have run out. As such, we may proceed to secure the remaining available quantity for you.

If you didn’t receive a confirmation email or SMS, simply provide the mobile number and email address used in the reservation form when collecting your new notes at the branch. If you have further queries, you can call our Client Contact Centre +65 6747 7000, daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm to enquire on your reservation status.

‘Fit-for-Gifting’ notes (or ‘Fit Notes’ in short) are used currency notes that are generally clean and of suitable quality for recirculation, including festive gifting. They are similar in quality to notes dispensed by ATMs.

As part of Singapore’s aspiration to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and mitigate climate change, we’d encourage the use of Fit Notes for festive gifting as a more sustainable option compared to new notes.

You can reserve Fit Notes via the Online Reservation system on sc.com/sg. Alternatively, you can walk into any of our branches without prior reservation to exchange for Fit Notes from 3 to 15 February 2026.

e-Angbao is a convenient and sustainable way to uphold the Lunar New Year tradition of giving and receiving red packets (angbaos). The recipient may not be registered on PayNow.

The e-Angbao function is currently only available on SC Mobile.
