      Christmas Giveaways Promotion Terms and Conditions

      Eligibility

      1. The Christmas Giveaways Promotion (“Promotion“) is available from 1 December 2018 to 31 December 2018 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period“). The Promotion is open to all principal cardholders of Credit Cards (“Cards“) issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) (collectively, “Eligible Cardholders“). By participating in the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

      Participation

      1. To qualify for the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders must, during the Promotion Period, charge a minimum total of S$150 of same-day retail transaction(s) (which excludes the transactions set out at Clause 7 below) (each an “Eligible Transaction” and collectively “Eligible Transactions”) to their Cards .

      Gift Redemption

      1. If the Eligible Cardholder satisfies the conditions in Clause 2 above, he/she will be eligible to redeem one of the gifts listed in the table below (each a “Gift”, collectively “Gifts”);

      1. Eligible Cardholders are required to present their Card(s) and original charge slips at the following location and during the operating hours stated below in this Clause [4] to redeem the relevant Gifts:

      Operating hours: 7am to 9pm (Monday – Sunday)

      1. Each original charge slip must be dated on the same day and can only be used once for the purposes of this Promotion. Redemption is strictly based on same day Eligible Transactions only. Back-dated original charge slips(s) are not permitted for redemptions. Photocopy, softcopy, written copies, voided copies or duplicates of such charge slips are strictly not accepted and will not be entertained
      1. The Gifts is limited to one (1) per Eligible Cardholder per day and is non-transferable, non-assignable and non-exchangeable for cash or credit or otherwise. The Gifts will be available on a first come, first served basis, while stocks last

      General

      1. The following transactions charged by an Eligible Cardholder are not considered to be Eligible Transactions for purposes of this Promotion:
        1. Insurance premiums, including premiums for investment-linked policies, charged to the Eligible Card;
        2. Bill payments (Examples of bill payment merchants include but are not limited to Telecommunications and utilities providers such as Starhub, Singtel and M1, Singapore Power);
        3. Any payment via AXS network;
        4. Any payment via SAM network;
        5. Payments to government agencies which include but not limited to Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Public Utilities Board, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and the Ministry of Manpower;
        6. Income tax payments;
        7. EZ-Link cards transactions;
        8. TransitLink transactions;
        9. Any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 6211 (Security Brokers/Dealers) and 7995 (Gambling/Lotto);
        10. Balance transfers (or funds transfers), instalment loans and cash advances on any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Eligible Cardholder, purchases via NETS and ongoing instalment payments;
        11. Any fees and charges (including annual fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, cash advance fees, finance charges and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges) charged to any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Eligible Cardholder;
        12. Any amount charged to the any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Eligible Cardholder during the Promotion Period that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed; and
        13. Balance owing on the credit cards of the Eligible Cardholder account from other months.
        14. Any amount charged to the any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Eligible Cardholder in foreign currency.
      1. The Bank is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of the transactions by any party including but not limited to Mastercard/Visa acquiring merchants, merchant establishments, any telecommunication provider, any internet service provider or website.
      1. Eligible Transactions charged to the card accounts of all supplementary cards linked to a Card will be counted as an Eligible Transaction made by the principal Eligible Cardholder on the relevant principal Card for the purposes of the Promotion.
      1. No payment or compensation whether in cash, credit or kind shall be made for any uncollected, lost, misplaced, defaced, stolen or damaged Gifts.
      1. The Bank reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions, modify or withdraw the Promotion at any time without prior notice or reason including terminating, shortening, extending or withdrawing the Promotion and/or replacing or substituting the Gifts with any other item (which may or may not be of equivalent or similar value), without prior notice or reason.
      1. Except for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Bank, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bank and members of the Bank’s group shall have no liability in respect of, and will be indemnified from and against, any liability, loss, claim, damage or costs of any kind (including legal costs) to any person or entity, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, whether by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a Gift.
      1. The Gifts is provided by third party merchant(s) who are not participants or sponsors of the Promotion. The Bank is not an agent of such merchant(s). The Bank makes no representation or warranty as to the Gifts or the quality of any goods and services provided by the merchant(s). Any dispute about the quality and condition of the Gifts is to be resolved directly with the merchant(s). The Bank is not obliged to assist or act on the Eligible Cardholder’s behalf in communicating with the merchant(s).
      1. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Promotion. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entertained.
      1. In the event of any inconsistency between the Promotion Terms and Conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Promotion Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
      1. Please read these terms and conditions together with our Customer Terms and Credit Card Terms, and any other product terms that may be applicable in conjunction with the Promotion (collectively “Other Terms”). In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the Other Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
      1. A person who is not a party to these Promotion Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
      1. The Promotion Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
