Standard Chartered and Grab April 2018 New to Grab Promotion Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

  1. The Standard Chartered and Grab April 2018 New to Grab Promotion (“Promotion“) is available from 1 April 2018 to 30 April 2018 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period“). Subject to Clause 2 below, the Promotion is open to all eligible cardholders of Standard Chartered Credit Cards (“Cards”) issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) (collectively, “Eligible Cardholders”), and who are also new users of Grab that downloaded the Grab mobile application (“Grab App”) and registered their Card for the first time in the Grab App during the Promotion Period (“New User”). By participating in the Promotion, the Eligible Cardholders agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. Debit Cards are not eligible for the Promotion.
  3. Eligible Cardholders whose Card accounts have been suspended, cancelled and/or terminated for any reason during the Promotion Period and till 31 May 2018 are not eligible for the Promotion.

Promotion Mechanics

  1. Under the Promotion, an Eligible Cardholder can earn $25 credit that can be redeemed for free Grab rides (“Grab Credits”) on transactions made on the Grab App as a New User.
  2. The Grab App is available for download from both the App Store:
    1. iTunes iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/in/app/grab-ride-hailing-app/id647268330?mt=8 and
    2. Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grabtaxi.passenger.
  3. The Eligible Cardholder must (i) download and use the Grab App on their mobile device and register with a Card (subject to Clause 2) as a New User during the Promotion Period and (ii) key in the promotion code “WELCOMESCB” in the Grab App each time prior to their first five bookings. For the avoidance of doubt, the Eligible Cardholder must not have downloaded the Grab App or registered their Card on the Grab App before the Promotion Period in order to redeem the Grab Credits under this Promotion.
  4. The Grab Credits will be credited to the Eligible Cardholder’s Grab App account in the form of five times $5 credits, which can be used for the Eligible Cardholder’s first five rides transacted on the Grab App as a New User.
  5. Each $5 credit can only be used once per transaction on the Grab App and combining the use of credits for one transaction is not allowed. In the event that the transaction costs less than the $5 credit, there will be no refund or carrying over of the unused amount. In the event that the transaction costs more than the $5 credit, any additional amount will have to be borne by the Eligible Cardholder.
  6. Grab Credits cannot be used for GrabHitch and GrabShuttle.

General

  1. The Grab Credits is strictly non-transferable and non-exchangeable (for cash or credit or otherwise).
  2. The Bank is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of any transaction by any party, including but not limited to the Grab App, acquiring merchants, merchant establishments, or any telecommunication provider.
  3. The Bank reserves the right to vary, modify, add or delete any of these terms and conditions, including terminating, shortening, extending or withdrawing the Promotion and/or substituting the Grab Credits with any other item (which may or may not be of equivalent or similar value), without prior notice or reason.
  4. In the event the Bank has determined that an Eligible Cardholder has irregularly or wrongly redeemed any Grab Credits, or where the Bank has knowledge of subsequent events which would mean that the Eligible Cardholder would not have been entitled to redeem the Grab Credits, the Bank reserves the right to claw back the Grab Credits or to deduct the value of the Grab Credits (or such other amount as it deems fit) from the Eligible Cardholder’s account(s) with the Bank.
  5. By participating in the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders also consent to us disclosing their information to persons who are involved in operating or promoting the Promotion and further consent to such persons contacting the Eligible Cardholders for the purposes of marketing the Promotion.
  6. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion the eligibility of a Cardholder for the Promotion. The Bank’s decision in all matters arising out of or in connection with the Promotion is final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
  7. the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions shall, to the extent of such inconsistency, prevail.
  8. The Promotion is to be read in conjunction with our Customer Terms, Credit Card Terms, Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Credit Card Terms & Conditions, MANHATTAN CashBack Terms & Conditions, Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Promotion Terms & Conditions, Standard Chartered Priority Banking Visa Infinite Promotion Terms & Conditions, Spree Credit Card Terms & Conditions, and any other specific Product Terms that may be relevant in connection with this Promotion (collectively, “Other Terms”). If there are any inconsistencies between these terms and the Other Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistencies.
  9. The Bank makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for services bought and accepts no liability for the services provided by any merchant or service provider. Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the merchant or service provider.
  10. The Bank is not an agent of any merchant or service provider or vice versa.
  11. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
  12. These terms and conditions are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of these terms and conditions shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore.
