The Excellent Service Award (EXSA) is a national award that recognises individuals who have delivered quality service. We are delighted that 495 Standard Chartered employees have been awarded this year, including 242 employees who were conferred the highest award level, Star Award. 98 employees were awarded the Gold Award and 155 employees were awarded the Silver Award. This is testament of the Bank’s strong service culture and commitment towards service excellence.

Standard Chartered won the "Best Consumer Internet Bank" in the Global Finance World’s Best Internet Banks Award for the fifth consecutive year. Keeping users’ banking experiences as the priority in our enhancements, we aim to provide our customers with a secure, convenient and easy banking platform.

This year, Standard Chartered put forth a number of cutting edge capabilities for our digital platform. Customers can now transfer funds almost instantly between Standard Chartered and the 13 other pioneering banks through the Fast & Secure Transfers (FAST) service. Our mobile banking platform – "Breeze Mobile" – is now compatible with any smart devices and this provides customers with greater accessibility to their finances with the Bank. With the FastCash feature on Breeze Mobile, customers can now identify the nearest ATM for the convenience of quick and hassle-free cash withdrawal.

Other award-winning initiatives includes the 60-second online Approval-in-Principle Service for Credit Card and Personal Loan, the revamped website with a shorter URL (sc.com/sg), the secured Online Unit Trust trading platform, branch digitisation initiatives and online shopping payment gateway. Our new and enhanced services open up a new chapter of digital banking experience to the customers in Singapore.

The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards 2013:
Best Internet Banking Initiative

Standard Chartered won the "Best Internet Banking Initiative" award in the Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards 2013. Following our initiative of the straight-through online application in 2012, we are the first bank in Singapore to offer our customers Approval-in-Principle Service in 60-seconds for Credit Card and Personal Loan online applications.

The transformed Standard Chartered website provides customers with a user-friendly interface and an enhanced customer experience. For ease and convenience, we have shortened our URL to sc.com/sg. Our mobile banking platform – "Breeze Mobile" – is now accessible from any smart devices, not limited to Android and iOS, with the introduction of the mobile web-based application. In addition, a new mobile app "Breeze Balance" is launched to provide customers with a one-click instant access to their account balance on-the-go. Wealth management investors are able to buy and sell Unit Trust through our Online Banking platform with the newly launched capability.

Standard Chartered will continue to provide innovative solutions in maintaining a user-friendly digital platform and offering greater convenience for our customers. Other digital transformation initiatives include Digital Signature, paperless branch and Internet Kiosk at branches.

The Banking and Payments Asia Trailblazer Awards recognised outstanding financial institutions from the region that have exhibited a degree of innovation and enterprise in product development, service delivery or process improvement.
Speaking on the win for Standard Chartered Breeze, the Bank's online and mobile banking platform, Titien Ahmad, Regional Director of Asia Pacific for of Banking and Payments Asia said: "Standard Chartered has raised the bar for online and mobile banking with the launch of Breeze. With Breeze, customers can transact and pay their bills, anytime, anywhere and check their account balances, obtain information on the latest promotions and locate ATMs and branches while on the move."
