       1. What is SC EasyBill Payment Programme (“SC EasyBill”) ?

      SC EasyBill allows Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“StanChart”) clients to earn 360° Rewards Points or be awarded with cashback (as the case may be) or earn Bonus Interest (in the case of Bonus$aver Credit Cards) when they make eligible education institution, insurance premium and rental payments or pay an eligible latest tax payable to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (“IRAS”) using SC EasyBill with their StanChart credit card(s).

      2. Is there a fee for SC EasyBill?

      Yes, there is a non-refundable onetime processing fee charged for each eligible SC EasyBill transaction. The SC EasyBill fee is not a fixed amount, will vary according to the SC EasyBill Facility chosen by the client in the Online Application. During the application, the fee will be reflected once the client selects the type of eligible payment (IRAS, Rental, Education or Insurance) and prior to submitting the online application.

      You can also check the SC EasyBill amount and fee via your monthly e-Statement or hardcopy statement.

       3. How is SC EasyBill different from EasyPay Programme (“EasyPay”)?

      SC EasyBill is a rewards programme that allows clients to earn 360° Rewards Points or be awarded with cashback (as the case may be) or earn Bonus Interest (in the case of Bonus$aver Credit Cards) when they make eligible education institution, insurance premium and rental payments or pay an eligible latest tax payable to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (“IRAS”) using SC EasyBill, while EasyPay is an instalment programme that converts eligible transactions of more than S$500 into instalments of 6 and 12 months.

      For each transaction made by a Client using SC EasyBill , which is for an eligible payment type and is more than S$500, they can further choose to use EasyPay to convert these payments into instalments.

      4. Who can utilize SC EasyBill?

      Principal and supplementary cardholders of StanChart credit cards who

      1. Receive an invitation via SMS/Electronic direct mailer can apply for this programme via the URL provided in the invitation; or
      2. Sends an SMS from his/her mobile number registered with Stanchart in the required format (SMS ‘BILL’ 77222) to 77222 (“SMS Request”) and receives an automatic SMS reply from Stanchart acknowledging the SMS Request and which contains the URL to apply for this programme online and to the SC EasyBill Payment Programme (SMS Request) Terms and Conditions.

      5. Can I make overseas payments with SC EasyBill?

      Eligible Payment will be limited only to the accounts of banks listed in the Online Application.

      6. How will I know if my payment request is successful?

      Client will receive a confirmation SMS (Successful or Unsuccessful) once the SC EasyBill transaction is processed.

      7. After submitting my payment request, can I cancel it if I decide not to go ahead with it?

      Unfortunately, applications once submitted cannot be cancelled.

      8. What happens if I have provided incorrect beneficiary details and if my funds are transferred to an incorrect beneficiary?

      The Bank will not be responsible for any errors in processing due to incorrect beneficiary details, including an incorrect beneficiary receiving the funds.

      All Client  must always ensure that they provide the correct beneficiary details in the SC EasyBill Online Application as the Bank will process the payment request as per the information provided by the Client.

      9. Can the processing fee be waived?

      Unfortunately, the processing fee cannot be waived.

      10. How can I check on the fee once the SC EasyBill payment request is processed?

      You can check the SC EasyBill amount and fee via your monthly e-Statement or hardcopy statement;

      11. How can I make recurring payments?

      An option for recurring payments is currently not available. You will need to submit a new request for each eligible payment.

      12. How many days will it take for the payee to receive the payment?

      The Eligible Payment (IRAS, Education, Rental or Insurance) will take up to 7 business days for processing from the time of submitting the Online Application by the cardholder

      13. I have a GIRO arrangement with IRAS where I pay my income tax monthly. I would like my income tax to be paid as a one-time lump sum payment now. What should I do?

      Please contact IRAS directly to make any changes in payment instruction.

       14. When should I make a payment to the Bank for the SC EasyBill amount and SC EasyBill fee charged to my credit card?

      You should do so before the payment due date as stated on your credit card statement. If the payment is not received in full, the applicable fees and charges would be applied as per the credit card’s Terms & Conditions.

       15. When can I expect the IRAS amount to be credited?

      The IRAS amount indicated in your payment request along with your Tax Identification Number (TIN) will be processed and credited directly to your tax account within 7 business days of your payment request, if your application is successful.

      16. Will the bank help me with any refunds related to excess payment or incorrect TIN provided?

      The Bank will not be able to initiate or assist with any refund proceedings.  You may like to reach out to your SC EasyBill Beneficiary on this matter (In this case IRAS).

       17. Why can’t I find an insurance company on your list?

      Only a selected list of insurance companies is currently available for selection. For insurance billers not appearing on the list, please fill in all the details of your Insurance biller. Note, all SC EasyBill Beneficiary details will need to be verified by you.  Failure in providing correct SC EasyBill Beneficiary Details in the Online Application may result in the SC EasyBill Amount being credited to an incorrect bank account

      18. I have a monthly GIRO payment arrangement with my insurance company but I would like to pay for my insurance premium as a one-time lump sum payment now. What should I do?

      Please contact your insurance company directly to make changes in payment instruction.
