SC Online Trading New Account Promotion (1 July 2018 to 30 September 2018 ) Terms and Conditions (“Promotion T&Cs”)

  1. This Standard Chartered Bank SC Online Trading New Account Promotion (“Promotion”) is available from 3 July 2018 to 30 September 2018, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”). By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Promotion T&Cs.

Eligibility

  1. This Promotion is open to new clients of Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (the “Bank”), who did not have an existing account on the Bank’s online trading platform (“SC Online Trading”) and subsequently signs up for an account on SC Online Trading during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Customers”). This Promotion is only applicable to trades executed via SC Online Trading. Employees of the Bank and Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore Branch will not be eligible for this Promotion.
  2. This Promotion is not concurrently valid with other Standard Chartered Bank Online Trading promotions.

Promotion

  1. To qualify for this Promotion, Eligible Customers must meet the following qualifying criteria to receive the respective fee rebates, as set out below:
    Qualifying Criteria Promotion
    To participate in this Promotion, customers will have to successfully open a SC Online Trading account during the Promotion Period and perform online trading transactions via SC Online Trading. Eligible Customers will be entitled to a special brokerage rate of 0.05% for all trades in Singapore, United States of America and Hong Kong stock markets performed from 3 July to 31 December 2018.

    The Eligible Customer will be first charged the standard full brokerage fees which will be debited from their account, and will subsequently receive the fee rebate to reflect the special brokerage rate of 0.05% for trades in Singapore, United States of America or Hong Kong stock markets. (“Rebate”).

    Note: the Eligible Customer remains liable for the payment of any transfer-out fee, and any and all other transactional fees payable to any third party, including, but not limited to, any tax or stamp duty, transaction levy, exchange fee, clearing fee, or market fee, that may be imposed on such Eligible Customer by law. For foreign exchange conversions, the Bank shall, in its absolute discretion, apply its prevailing foreign exchange rates in determining the SGD value equivalent.

  1. Regardless of when the trades were made during the Promotion Period, the reimbursement dates for the Rebate will be made by 31 January 2019. The fee rebates will be credited in the same currency that the Eligible Customer traded in.

General Terms

  1. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, including eligibility. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
  2. The Bank reserves the right to do any of the following without prior notice or reason:
    (a) terminate, withdraw, shorten or extend this Promotion at the Bank’s sole discretion, with or without prior notice or reason; and/or
    (b) vary, modify, add or delete any of the terms of this Promotion. You understand and agree to be bound by any such variation.

  1. In the event of any inconsistency between these Promotion T&Cs and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to this Promotion, these Promotion T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
  2. A person who is not a party to these Promotion T&Cs has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of the Promotion T&Cs.
  3. These Promotion T&Cs are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore. These Promotion T&Cs shall be read in conjunction with all relevant terms and conditions including the Standard Chartered Online Trading Terms, the Customer Terms and the Investment Product Terms.
