      Standard Chartered Hit and Win (2 March 2021 to 31 May 2021) Promotion Terms and Conditions

      Eligibility

      1. The Standard Chartered Hit and Win (2 March 2021 to 31 May 2021) Promotion (“Promotion”) is available from 2 March 2021 to 31 May 2021 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
      2. To qualify for this Promotion:
        1. you must apply for one (1) of the following eligible cards issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited(each an “Eligible Card”) as a principal cardholder and meet the conditions laid out in clauses 2(b) through 2(f) (“Eligible Cardholder”):
          1. Unlimited Cashback Credit Card;
          2. Rewards+ Credit Card;
          3. Platinum Visa/Mastercard® Credit Card;
          4. Spree Credit Card;
          5. NUS Alumni Platinum Credit Card;
          6. Prudential Platinum Credit Card; or
          7. Prudential Visa Signature Credit Card;
      1. you must be a new Standard Chartered principal cardholder which means that as of the date you submit your application for an Eligible Card, you must not be the principal cardholder of any credit card issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (the “Bank” or “Standard Chartered”) and/or you must not have cancelled any credit cards issued by the Bank which you are the principal cardholder of, in the last 12 months from the Promotion start date;
      1. Standard Chartered must receive your application for an Eligible Card between 23 February 2021 and 31 May 2021. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Standard Chartered may continue to process any application received by Standard Chartered up to 14 calendar days after the end of the Promotion Period, and Standard Chartered shall retain the sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of these applications and/or allow the said applications for the purposes of this Promotion on a case-by-case basis, subject to these terms and conditions;
      1. your Eligible Card application must be approved by Standard Chartered and such approval must be final and unconditional;
      1. you must activate the physical version of the First Eligible Card (as defined at Clause 3 below) within 30 days from the card approval date. For the avoidance of doubt, a digital version of the First Eligible Card (as defined at Clause 3 below) is not eligible for this Promotion; and
      1. the account for your First Eligible Card (as defined at Clause 3 below) must be valid (i.e. the account for your First Eligible Card (as defined at Clause 3 below) must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated), in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by Standard Chartered in its sole and absolute discretion, for a period of three (3) months from the date the account for your First Eligible Card account is opened.
      1. For the purposes of the Promotion, the “First Eligible Card” shall be the first Eligible Card which the Bank issues to an Eligible Cardholder during the Promotion Period and which the Eligible Cardholder is the principal cardholder of.
      1. Unless otherwise stated, the Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions. The Promotion is valid in conjunction with the Standard Chartered and Caltex 2021 Promotion (the terms and conditions of which can be found here) and The Good Life® 2021 Promotion (the individual merchant and general terms and conditions of which can be found here).

      Promotion Mechanics

      1. To qualify for the Promotion, an Eligible Cardholder and/or his/her supplementary cardholders must, during the Promotion Period, charge a single transaction to the First Eligible Card that is of an amount of S$150 or more and which must:
        1. not be any of the transactions which are set out at Clause 17 below;
        2. have a transaction date 7 days after the card approval date and within the Promotion Period; and
        3. be successfully authorized to the First Eligible Card account during the Promotion Period,

      (each such transaction fulfilling the criteria set out in this Clause 6 hereinafter will be referred to as an “Qualifying Transaction”).

      1. This Promotion is limited to the first 5,550 Qualifying Transactions (each a “Winning Transaction”) and SMSes will only be sent to the Eligible Cardholders who have Winning Transactions.
      1. During the Promotion Period, each Winning Transaction will be randomly assigned a unique URL by an automated computerised system and a SMS containing the unique URL will be sent to the Eligible Cardholder’s mobile number which the Bank has on file for him/her (“Registered Mobile Number”) to play a pinball game. Upon completing the pinball game, the Prize (as defined below) which the Eligible Cardholder has won will be displayed on the mobile phone screen.
      1. For each Winning Transaction, an Eligible Cardholder is eligible to receive 1 unique URL sent via 1 SMS except that This Promotion is capped to 3 Winning Transactions per Eligible Cardholder.
      1. Standard Chartered reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion whether Eligible Cardholders have met all the requirements of the Promotion.

      Prizes and Prizes Allocation

      1. An Eligible Cardholder who makes a Winning Transaction (“Winning Cardholder”) will win one of the following prizes:
        1. S$2 cashback;
        2. S$3 cashback;
        3. S$5 cashback;
        4. S$10 cashback;
        5. S$20 cashback;
        6. S$50 cashback; or
        7. S$1,000 cashback;

      (each a “Prize” and collectively, “Prizes”.)

      For the avoidance of doubt, if an Eligible Cardholder does not receive any SMS informing him/her of his/her Prize he/she will not be entitled to any of the Prizes.

      1. There will be a total of 5,550 Prizes available to be won for the duration of the Promotion, in the following quantities:

      1. The Prizes allocated to the Winning Transactions will be chosen by our computer programme designed specifically for the purpose of the Promotion at 9 Changi Business Park Crescent, Standard Chartered Bank @ Changi 2, Singapore 486005. The computer programme will randomly allocate Prizes to Winning Transactions in real time when a Winning Transaction is made.
      1. The random selection and allocation of Prizes to Winning Cardholders will be verified by external auditors. The Bank reserves the discretion to change any of the Prize allocation mechanics without giving prior notice or reason. We may appoint any party as we deem fit as an external auditor for the Prize allocation.
      1. The Prize(s) that a Winning Cardholder has won will be credited to his/her First Eligible Card account by 31 May 2021 and SMS(es) will be sent to his/her Registered Mobile Number to inform him/her that the Prize amount has been credited to his/her First Eligible Card account. The Prize amount will be reflected in the first monthly statement of account that is issued for the Winning Cardholder’s First Eligible Card after the Prize amount has been credited to his/her First Eligible Card account.
      1. The Prize awarded must be utilised within three (3) months from the date the Prize is credited to the Cardholder’s Eligible Card, failing which, any unused portion of the Prize may be forfeited.

      Qualifying Transactions

      1. The following transactions charged to an Eligible Card will not be considered as a Qualifying Transaction for the purposes of the Promotion:
        1. any cash advance;
        2. any fees or charges (including but not limited to annual card fees, service fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, finance charges and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges);
        3. any Credit Card Funds Transfer;
        4. any monthly instalment of an EasyPay transaction;
        5. any amount charged to an Eligible Cardholder’s Eligible Card that is subsequently cancelled, voided, refunded or reversed;
        6. recurring payments (being automatic payments where the Eligible Cardholder (including the Eligible Cardholder’s supplementary cardholder(s) on the Eligible Card account) has given a one-time authorisation or instruction for the merchant to charge the payment directly to the Eligible Cardholder’s Eligible Card at a fixed interval, such as transactions made pursuant to Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited’s 0% Interest Instalment Plan) or payments made to all billing organisations using Standard Chartered Online Banking or mobile app;
        7. AXS, SAM or ATM transactions made using the Eligible Card;
        8. amounts which have been rolled over from any preceding month’s statement;
        9. tax refunds credited into the Eligible Cardholder’s Eligible Card account;
        10. any insurance premiums charged to the Eligible Card;
        11. any payments related to betting (including lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off-track betting, and wagers at race tracks) through any channel charged to the Eligible Card;
        12. any top-ups or payment of funds to any prepaid cards (with exception of EZ-Reload charged to the Eligible Cardholder’s Eligible Card) and any prepaid accounts including without limitation:
          1. any transaction classified under either of the following Merchant Category Codes:
            1. Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services, and Debt Repayment (6012); or
            2. Non-Financial Institutions – Stored Value Card Purchase/Load (6540); and

      General

      1. For retail transactions charged during the Promotion Period to an Eligible Card which are successfully converted into monthly instalments:
        1. at the point of sale by tie up merchants, the monthly instalment amount (and not the total amount charged for that transaction); or
        2. at a later date by us, the total amount charged (and not the converted monthly instalment amount),

      will be considered by the Bank to determine if the Eligible Cardholder has made a Qualifying Transaction. For non-Singapore dollar Qualifying Transactions charged to  an Eligible Cardholder’s First Eligible Card, the transaction amount authorised in the Eligible Cardholder’s First Eligible Card account (which is inclusive of the exchange rate conversion but exclusive of the overseas transactions fees, if any) will be considered by the Bank to determine if the Eligible Cardholder has made a Qualifying Transaction.

      1. The Bank is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of the transactions by any party including but not limited to acquiring merchants, merchant establishments, or any telecommunication provider.
      2. No payment or compensation whether in cash, credit or kind shall be made for any lost, misplaced or stolen Cashback.
      3. The Bank reserves the right to replace or substitute the Cashback with any item of equivalent or similar value.
      4. Transactions charged to supplementary cards linked to an Eligible Cardholder’s First Eligible Card will be considered as Qualifying Transactions charged by the Eligible Cardholder to his/her First Eligible Card for the purposes of the Promotion.
      5. The Bank reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Promotion. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
      6. The Bank reserves the right to revise, vary, modify, add or delete any of these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice or reason, modify, terminate, shorten, extend or withdraw the Promotion at any time without prior notice or reason, and/or substitute the Prize with any other item (which may or may not be of equivalent or similar value), without prior notice or reason.
      7. In the event the Bank has determined that an Eligible Cardholder is not eligible to receive the Prize or to participate in the Promotion, the Bank reserves the right to claw back the Prize or to deduct its value (or such other amount as it deems fit) from the Eligible Cardholder’s account(s) with the Bank.
      8. In the event of any inconsistency between the Standard Chartered Hit and Win (2 March 2021 to 30 April 2021) Promotion Terms and Conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Standard Chartered Hit and Win (2 March 2021 to 30 April 2021) Promotion Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
      9. Except for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Bank, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bank and members of the Bank’s group shall have no liability in respect of, will be indemnified from and against, and/or you hereby agree to release and hold the Bank and members of the Bank’s group harmless for, any expenses, costs of any kind (including legal costs), liability, loss (whether foreseeable or not), claim or damage, directly or indirectly, suffered, incurred (whether in common law or equity), arising from or in connection with your acceptance, possession, use, misuse and/or enjoyment of the Cashback and/or this Promotion.
      10. By applying for an Eligible Card pursuant to this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of your telephone number and email address to contact you about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or Electronic Direct Mail. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by you. Such consent will also prevail even if you are registered or subsequently register your contact information with the national Do Not Call Registry.
      11. Please read these terms and conditions together with our Customer Terms and Credit Card Terms and any other product terms that may be applicable in conjunction with the Promotion (collectively “Other Terms”). In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the Other Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
      12. A person who is not a party to these Standard Chartered Hit and Win ( 2 March 2021 to 30 April 2021) Promotion terms and conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these Standard Chartered Hit and Win  ( 2 March 2021 to 30 April 2021) Promotion Terms and Conditions.
      13. These Standard Chartered Hit and Win ( 2 March 2021 to 30 April 2021) Promotion Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Standard Chartered Hit and Win  ( 2 March 2021 to 30 April 2021) Promotion Terms and Conditions, shall be governed by and are to be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
