Standard Chartered ‘Insure and Fly’ Promotion (16 August to 30 September 2018 Terms and Conditions (“Promotion T&Cs”)

  • This Standard Chartered ‘Insure and Fly’ Promotion(“Promotion”) is available from 16 August to 30 September 2018, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”). By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Promotion T&Cs.
  • This Promotion is open to new and existing customers (“Eligible Customers”) of Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”).
  • Employees of (i) the Bank, (ii) Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore Branch and (iii) all other entities in the Standard Chartered Bank Group will not be eligible for this Promotion.
  • This Promotion is not concurrently valid with the following other promotions or product offerings:
    • Standard Chartered Steady Saver promotion and
    • ‘Insure and be rewarded’ Promotion.
Qualifying Transaction Entitlement
Purchase an Eligible Insurance Product (as defined below) with Fresh Funds (as defined below) with a minimum monthly premium of S$1,500  at any of the Bank’s branches in Singapore 50,000 KrisFlyer miles

Illustration:

  • If an Eligible Customer has, during the Promotion Period, successfully purchased an Eligible Insurance Policy with a monthly premium of S$1,500, he/she will be entitled to a one-time credit of 50,000 KrisFlyer miles (“KrisFlyer miles”), and the receipt of the KrisFlyer miles is subject to the Promotion T&Cs and the Other Terms (as defined below) which govern the KrisFlyer miles.
  • For this Promotion, the following definitions apply:
    Eligible Insurance Policy” means an insurance policy underwritten by Prudential Assurance Company Singapore (Pte) Ltd (“Prudential”) and distributed by the Bank and which (a) has the above minimum monthly premium and (b) is approved by Prudential within two (2) months from the date of submission of the application for the relevant Eligible Insurance Policy, but does not include PruShield, PruMortgage, and all single premium plans.
  • In the event that: – (a) the Eligible Insurance Policy is not issued within 2 months of the submission of the relevant application; or (b) the Eligible Insurance Policy is otherwise terminated/surrendered within 12 months of the date of commencement of the Eligible Insurance Policy and/or within the 14 days free-look period of the Eligible Insurance Policy, the Bank reserves the right to debit a value equivalent to the KrisFlyer miles awarded to the Eligible Customer pursuant to this Promotion (or such other amount as the Bank deem fit) from any of his account(s) held within the Bank without prior notice.
  • Fresh funds” refer to funds not originating from any existing account with the Bank and funds that have not been withdrawn and re-deposited within the last 30 days.
  • The purchase of any Eligible Insurance Policy is subject to the terms and conditions of, and acceptance by, the underwriter, Prudential. The benefits listed in any marketing or promotional materials issued by the Bank are for illustration purposes only. Please refer to the full terms and conditions, and exclusions listed in the policy contract. The Bank does not accept any responsibility regarding any statement made in, omission or inclusion of any provision of, any contract between Prudential and an Eligible Customer. Any dispute in relation to any contract between Prudential and an Eligible Customer is to be resolved directly with Prudential. The Bank will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage arising in connection with an Eligible Customer’s application and/or any contract between Prudential and an Eligible Customer.
  • KrisFlyer miles awarded under this Promotion are not exchangeable for cash or any other items. KrisFlyer miles will only be awarded to the Eligible Customer and are non-transferable and non-assignable.
  • Each Eligible Customer must provide true, complete and accurate KrisFlyer account information (including but not limited to his personal details, his KrisFlyer membership details and/or account number) to the Bank, and the Eligible Customer consents to such information being used, collected or otherwise disclosed to Singapore Airlines Limited for fulfilment purposes.
  • Each Eligible Customer agrees that he/she is solely responsible for the completeness and accuracy of any information submitted to the Bank. In the event that the Eligible Customer had provided any incorrect or incomplete information, the Bank may cancel, reverse, debit or forfeit any KrisFlyer miles awarded to him/her, or otherwise suspend the crediting of the KrisFlyer miles, with or without prior notification. Each Eligible Customer agrees and acknowledges that no payment or compensation whether in cash, credit or kind shall be made by the Bank in consequence of the above.
  • KrisFlyer miles will be credited directly to the KrisFlyer account of the Eligible Customer by 31 December 2018 after the Eligible Insurance Policy has been approved by the insurer, provided that these Promotion T&Cs have been complied with.
  • Each Eligible Customer consents to the Bank’s collection, retention, use, processing, transfer, disclosure and/or reporting (whether directly or indirectly) to Singapore Airlines Limited and any relevant third party, of his/her personal data and/or information provided to the Bank, including but not limited to, for the purposes of administering his/her registration for a KrisFlyer account, awarding KrisFlyer miles under this Promotion, or otherwise for purposes relating to this Promotion. Each Eligible Customer further consents and acknowledges that his/her personal data and/or information (i) will also be processed in line with the Bank’s privacy statement available at sc.com/sg/privacy; and (ii) may be used in accordance with the Bank’s policies, terms and conditions or notices made available by the Bank to the Eligible Customer from time to time.
  • Terms and conditions of Singapore Airlines Limited’s KrisFlyer Programme apply in relation to each Eligible Customer’s redemption and/or use of KrisFlyer miles. For details, please visit https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/. The Bank is not obliged to notify the Eligible Customer of any changes or latest announcements of Singapore Airlines Limited’s KrisFlyer Programme.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, the Bank is not an agent of Singapore Airlines Limited, the merchant administering or otherwise crediting the KrisFlyer miles under the KrisFlyer Programme. The Bank makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, value, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the KrisFlyer miles and assume no liability or responsibility for the acts or omissions of Singapore Airlines Limited, its employees, agents and/or officers. Any non-performance of the services received from Singapore Airlines Limited is to be resolved directly between the Eligible Customer and Singapore Airlines Limited. The Bank is not obliged to assist or act on the Eligible Customer’s behalf in communicating with Singapore Airlines Limited for any reason. Each Eligible Customer accepts the KrisFlyer miles as it is and subject to any terms and conditions Singapore Airlines Limited may impose.
  • The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, including eligibility. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
  • The Bank reserves the right to do any of the following without prior notice: (a) terminate, withdraw, shorten or extend this Promotion at the Bank’s sole discretion, with or without prior notice or reason; and/or (b) vary, modify, add or delete any of the terms of this Promotion. You understand and agree to be bound by any such variation.
  • In the event of any inconsistency between these Promotion T&Cs and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to this Promotion, these Promotion T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
  • Please read these Promotion T&Cs together with our Customer Terms, Current/Cheque/Savings Account and SGD Time Deposit Terms, Priority Banking Services and Privileges International Terms and Conditions, and Investment Product Terms (collectively, “Other Terms”). If there is any inconsistency between these Promotion T&Cs and the Other Terms, these Promotion T&Cs prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
  • A person who is not a party to these Promotion T&Cs has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these Promotion T&Cs.
  • These Promotion T&Cs are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
