      Standard Chartered Credit Card JumpStart Group-buy Programme Promotion

      1. This Standard Chartered Credit Card JumpStart Group-buy Programme Promotion (the “Promotion”) is valid from 1 June 2021 to 31 July 2021 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”). By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Promotion terms and conditions.
      2. The Promotion is only open to existing JumpStart account holders (“you” or “Existing Customer”) of Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank” or “Standard Chartered”) who, during the Promotion Period:
        1. successfully applies for at least 1 Eligible Card (as defined herein) as a New-to-Card principal cardholder (defined in Clause 7 herein) through the unique link provided in the electronic direct mailer sent to your registered email address with the Bank (“EDM URL”);
        2. successfully refers any family member or friend (such referred individual to be termed as a “Referred Individual”) to the Bank to sign up for at least 1 Eligible Card (as defined herein). An “Eligible Card” for the purposes of the Promotion is:
          1. Unlimited Cashback Credit Card; or
          2. Rewards+ Credit Card;
        3. activates the physical version of the Eligible Card within 30 days from the card approval date. For the avoidance of doubt, a digital version of the Eligible Card is not eligible for this Promotion; and
        4. charges at least one (1) Eligible Transaction (as defined in Clause 6 herein) to the Eligible Card within 30 days from the card approval date.
      3. By sharing the EDM URL with the Referred Individual, you:
        1. consent to the Bank disclosing your name and the fact that you hold a JumpStart account with the Bank and at least 1 Eligible Card that is issued by the Bank to you as a New-to-Card principal cardholder (such Eligible Card(s) having been applied for through the EDM URL) during the Promotion; and
        2. agree to inform the Referred Individual that the applicable cashback (as reflected under Table 1 below) will be accorded to all who have used the same EDM URL to sign up for at least 1 Eligible Card if these Promotion terms and conditions are complied with.
      4. By applying for an Eligible Card in conjunction with this Promotion, the Referred Individual consents that the application status of their Eligible Card(s) with the Bank would be disclosed to the Existing Customer, by virtue of the Existing Customer receipt of the relevant cashback under the Promotion.
      5. A referral will be considered successful when:
        1. the Existing Customer, during the Promotion Period:
          1. applies for at least 1 Eligible Card that is issued by the Bank as a New-to-Card principal cardholder through the EDM URL;
          2. has his/her Eligible Card application approved by the Bank prior to him/her referring a Referred Individual to the Bank, where such approval is final and unconditional;
          3. shares the EDM URL with a Referred Individual;
          4. must activate the physical version of the Eligible Card within 30 days from the card approval date. For the avoidance of doubt, a digital version of the Eligible Card is not eligible for this Promotion; and
          5. charges at least one (1) Eligible Transaction (as defined in Clause 6) to the Eligible Card within 30 days from the card approval date.
        2. the Referred Individual applies for at least 1 Eligible Card through the EDM URL shared to him/her by the Existing Customer;
        3. the Bank receives the Referred Individual’s application for the Eligible Card within the Promotion Period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Bank may continue to process any application received by the Bank for up to 14 calendar days after the end of the Promotion Period, and the Bank shall retain the sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of these applications and/or allow the said applications for the purposes of this Promotion on a case-to-case basis, subject to these Promotion terms and conditions;
        4. the application for the Eligible Card is approved by the Bank, and such approval is final and unconditional;
        5. the Referred Individual must activate the physical version of the Eligible Card within 30 calendar days from the card approval date. For the avoidance of doubt, a digital version of the Eligible Card is not eligible for this Promotion.
        6. the Referred Individual must charge at least one (1) Eligible Transaction (as defined in Clause 6) to the Eligible Card within 30 days from the card approval date;
        7. the Eligible Card account must, within six (6) months of the Eligible Card account opening date, be valid (i.e. the Eligible Card account must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated), in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by Standard Chartered in its sole and absolute discretion; and
        8. the Referred Individual is:
          1. at least 21 years old as at the Referral Date (as defined in Clause 7 herein); and
          2. not an existing principal cardholder of any credit card issued by the Bank as at the Referral Date (as defined in Clause 7 herein), and/or must not have any existing or previously cancelled credit card issued by the Bank in the last 12 months prior to the Referral Date (as defined in Clause 7 herein).
      6. An “Eligible Transaction”, for the purposes of this Promotion, is a transaction which is charged and posted to the Eligible Card within 30 days from the date the application for the Eligible Card is approved pursuant to this Promotion, except that the following transactions will not be considered as Eligible Transactions, for the purposes of this Promotion:
        1. any cash advance;
        2. any fees or charges (including but not limited to annual card fees, service fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, finance charges, and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges);
        3. any Credit Card Funds Transfer;
        4. any monthly instalment of an EasyPay transaction;
        5. any amount charged to your credit card that is subsequently cancelled, voided, refunded or reversed;
        6. recurring payments (being automatic payments where you (including your supplementary cardholder(s) on your credit card account) have given a one-time authorisation or instruction for the merchant to charge the payment directly to your credit card at a fixed interval, such as transactions made pursuant to Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited’s 0% Interest Instalment Plan) or payments made to all billing organisations using Standard Chartered Online Banking or mobile app;
        7. AXS, SAM or ATM transactions made using your credit card;
        8. amounts which have been rolled over from any preceding month’s statement;
        9. tax refunds credited into your credit card account;
        10. any insurance premiums charged to your credit card;
        11. any payments related to betting (including lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off-track betting, and wagers at race tracks) through any channel charged to your credit card;
        12. any top-ups or payment of funds to any prepaid cards and any prepaid accounts including without limitation:
          1. any transaction classified under either of the following Merchant Category Codes:
          • Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services, and Debt Repayment (6012); or
          • Non-Financial Institutions – Stored Value Card Purchase/Load (6540); and

      1. For the purposes of the Promotion:
        1. A New-to-Card principal cardholder is defined as an individual who starts a credit card relationship with the Bank during the Promotion Period but does not include an individual who maintains or had maintained a credit card relationship with the Bank within the past twelve (12) months from the date of commencement of the Promotion Period.
        2. the “Referral Date” is the date on which the Referred Individual applies for an Eligible Card using the EDM URL that the Existing Customer has shared with him/her.

      Cashback to be received by the Existing Customer and the Referred Individual

      1. If Clauses 2, 3 and 4 stipulated above are fulfilled, an Existing Customer will receive referral cashback (“Referral Cashback”) and each Referred Individual will receive referred sign up cashback (“Referred Sign Up Cashback”) according to Table 1 and Table 2 below:

      1. If more than one (1) Existing Customer refers the same Referred Individual to the Bank during the Promotion Period under the Promotion, only one (1) Existing Customer will be eligible for the Referral Cashback. Only the Existing Customer whose EDM URL has been used by the Referred Individual to make the application for an Eligible Card will be eligible for the Referral Cashback. In the event of any dispute, the Bank shall have the sole and absolute discretion to determine which Existing Customer is eligible for the Referral Cashback.
      2. If a particular Referred Individual, pursuant to the Promotion, applies for more than one (1) Eligible Card during the Promotion Period, only one (1) Eligible Card application by the Referred Individual will be considered for the purposes of crediting the Referral Cashback to the Existing Customer. The Referral Cashback will only be awarded to the Existing Customer for the application for an Eligible Card by the Referred Individual which the Bank approves first, pursuant to this Promotion, and will only be awarded to the Existing Customer provided the Existing Customer’s EDM URL has been used by the Referred Individual to submit such application. In the event of any dispute, the Bank shall have the sole and absolute discretion to determine which Eligible Card application by the Referred Individual is eligible for the Referral Cashback.
      3. If the first Eligible Card that the Existing Customer or the Referred Individual applies for, pursuant to this Promotion, is an Unlimited Cashback Credit Card or Rewards+ Credit Card (the Unlimited Cashback Credit Card and the Rewards+ Credit Card collectively referred to as the “Eligible Cards”), the cashback that the Existing Customer or the Referred Individual is eligible to receive for the first of the Eligible Referred Cards that he/she applies for pursuant to this Promotion, consists of the following:
        1. If the Existing Customer or the Referred Individual’s application for the first of such Eligible Referred Cards satisfies all the terms and conditions of the Credit Card Sign-Up Promotion (as set out in the Credit Card Sign-Up Promotion Terms and Conditions found here), he/she will be eligible to receive a S$80 cashback (“New CC Cashback”);
        2. if the Existing Customer’s application for the first of such Eligible Cards also fulfils the eligibility criteria of this Promotion as set out at Clauses 2, 3 and 4 above, he/she will be eligible to receive the Referral Cashback as defined above at Clauses 8 and 9 according to Table 1; and
        3. if the Referred Individual’s application for the first of such Eligible Referred Cards also fulfils the eligibility criteria of this Promotion as set out at Clauses 2, 3 and 4 above, he/she will be eligible to receive the Referred Sign Up Cashback as defined above at Clauses 8 and 9 according to Table 1.
      4. For the avoidance of doubt, the New CC Cashback as defined at Clause 11(a) above is identical to the New CC Cashback as defined at Clause 3 of the Credit Card Sign-Up Promotion Terms and Conditions, and an Existing Customer or a Referred Individual is only entitled to receive the New CC Cashback once.

      Cashback Cap

      1. For the avoidance of doubt, the New CC Cashback is subject to the cashback caps as defined at Clause 5 of the Credit Card Sign-Up Promotion Terms and Conditions. The Referred Sign Up Cashback and Referral Cashback are not subject to, and will not be counted towards the aforementioned cashback caps.

      Crediting of Cashback

      1. The New CC Cashback and/or the Referral Cashback will be credited to the Existing Customer as follows:
        1. the New CC Cashback will be credited, at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, to one (1) of the Existing Customer’s Eligible Card account(s), which is valid and in good standing at the time the New CC Cashback is credited, within 30 working days from the date of activation of the Existing Customer’s Eligible Card;
        2. the Referral Cashback will be credited, at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, to one (1) of the Existing Customer’s Eligible Card account(s), which is valid and in good standing at the time the Referral Cashback is credited, within 60 working days from the date of activation of the Existing Customer’s Eligible Card; and
      2. The New CC Cashback and/or the Referred Sign Up Cashback will be credited to the Referred Individual as follows:
        1. the New CC Cashback will be credited, at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, to one (1) of the Referred Individual’s Eligible Card account(s), which is valid and in good standing at the time the New CC Cashback is credited, within 30 working days from the date of activation of the Referred Individual’s Eligible Card;
        2. the Referred Sign Up Cashback will be credited, at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, to one (1) of the Referred Individual’s Eligible Card account(s), which is valid and in good standing at the time the Referred Sign Up Cashback is credited, within 60 working days from the date of activation of the Referred Individual’s Eligible Card; and
      3. The New CC Cashback, Referral Cashback and/or Referred Sign Up Cashback will be forfeited if the relevant Eligible Card account(s) with the Bank is suspended, closed, not in good standing or the Existing Customer or Referred Individual is in breach of our banking agreement at the time the New CC Cashback, Referral Cashback and/or Referred Sign Up Cashback is credited.
      4. The New CC Cashback (as defined at Clause 11(a) above) awarded must be utilised within three (3) months from the date the New CC Cashback is credited to the Existing Customer’s Eligible Card or the Referred Individual’s Eligible Card, failing which, any unused portion of the cashback may be forfeited.
      5. In the event that any of the Existing Customer’s Eligible Card accounts is not valid (i.e. the Eligible Card account must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated), not in good standing, or not conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by Standard Chartered in its sole and absolute discretion, prior to receiving the Referral Cashback, the Existing Customer will be considered as disqualified from this Promotion and the Referral Cashback will be forfeited. The Referred Individual will not be eligible for the Referred Sign Up Cashback for the disqualified Existing Customer’s application.
      6. In the event that any of the Referred Individual’s Eligible Card accounts is not valid (i.e. the Eligible Card account must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated), not in good standing, or not conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by Standard Chartered in its sole and absolute discretion, prior to receiving the Referred Sign Up Cashback, the Referred Individual will be considered as disqualified from this Promotion and the Referred Sign Up Cashback will be forfeited. The Existing Customer will not be eligible for the Referral Cashback for the disqualified Referred Individual’s application.
      7. The Bank reserves the right to:
        1. decline to credit the New CC Cashback, Referral Cashback and/or the Referred Sign Up Cashback and/or cancel the credit of the New CC Cashback, Referral Cashback and/or the Referred Sign Up Cashback in the event that the Bank determines that any of the requirements or the terms of our banking agreement had not been complied with, including but not limited to the following:
          1. where the Existing Customer or Referred Individual has acted fraudulently or dishonestly;
          2. where the Existing Customer or Referred Individual had conducted himself / herself in bad faith or otherwise in an inappropriate manner to gain an unfair advantage against the Bank; and/or
          3. upon the occurrence of any event giving rise to a right for the Bank to suspend or terminate any (or all) of our banking agreement for a product, as set out at Clause 29.3 and Clause 33 of our Customer Terms and elsewhere in our banking agreement; and
        2. where the Existing Customer and/or Referred Individual fails to meet the requirements set out in Clauses 2 to 4 above, the Bank may decline to credit the Referral Cashback and the Referred Sign Up Cashback or cancel the credit of the Referral Cashback and the Referred Sign Up Cashback and/or substitute the Referral Cashback and the Referred Sign Up Cashback with a lower value reward.

      General

      1. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Promotion. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
      2. The Bank further reserves the right to do any of the following at any time without prior notice:
        1. make any changes to the Promotion and/or replace the New CC Cashback, Referral Cashback and/or the Referred Sign Up Cashback with another reward of equivalent or similar value; or
        2. vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of these Promotion terms and conditions, including termination or withdrawing the Promotion, or to extend or shorten the Promotion Period at any time at the Bank’s sole discretion, with or without prior notice or reason.

      You understand and agree to be bound by any variation to these terms.

      1. In the event of any inconsistency between these Promotion terms and conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Promotion terms and conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
      2. By participating in the Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by the Bank for marketing purposes, including the use of your telephone number to contact you about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or electronic direct mailer.
      3. Please read these Promotion terms and conditions together with our Customer Terms, Credit Card Terms, Credit Card Sign-Up Promotion Terms and Conditions, Unlimited Cashback Credit Card Terms and Conditions, Rewards+ Credit Card Promotion Terms and Conditions, and any other specific product terms that may be applicable in relation to this Promotion (collectively, “Other Terms”). If there is any inconsistency between these Promotion terms and conditions and the Other Terms, these Promotion terms and conditions shall, to the extent of such inconsistency, prevail.
      4. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these Promotion terms and conditions.
      5. These Promotion terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Promotion terms and conditions, shall be governed by and are to be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
