Standard Chartered Credit Card Sign-Up via Qoo10 Promotion Terms and Conditions

  1. This Standard Chartered Credit Card Sign-Up via Qoo10 Promotion (the “Promotion”) is available from 15 March 2019 to 31 July 2019 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period“), unless otherwise extended or otherwise terminated in accordance with these terms and conditions. By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. Only applications for the Eligible Card (as defined in Clause 3a below) received by the Bank (as defined in Clause 3a below) via the Qoo10 Pte. Ltd (“Qoo10”) Channels (as defined in Clause 3b below) will be eligible for this Promotion. For the avoidance of doubt:
    1. this means that only Cardholders (as defined in Clause 3a below) who have applied for a card via the Qoo10 Channels and who successfully submit the application for the Eligible Card will be eligible for the Promotion (subject always to Clauses 3, 5 and 6 below); and
    2. if you have received the Eligible Card in conjunction with your application for a CashOne / Credit Card Instalment Loan or a Mortgage Loan under the Home Suite Bundle or any other credit card sign-up promotions, you will not be eligible for the Qoo10 Credits (as defined in Clause 4 below) under this Promotion.

Eligibility – New Credit Cardholders

  1. To qualify for this Promotion and to receive the Qoo10 Credits as set out in Clause 4 below:
    1. you must apply for any one (1) of the following eligible cards (each an “Eligible Card”) issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Standard Chartered” or the “Bank”) as a principal cardholder (“Cardholder”):
      1. Spree Credit Card; or
      2. Rewards+ Credit Card; or
      3. Unlimited Cashback Credit Card;
    2. such application has to be made via the Qoo10 online communication channels (which, for the avoidance of doubt, are Qoo10’s dedicated landing page that links to Standard Chartered Credit Cards online application form, a web banner on the Qoo10 website or Qoo10 mobile App and any other channels that the Bank determines in its sole discretion will allow you to qualify for this Promotion) (collectively, the “Qoo10 Channels”);
    3. you must be a new Standard Chartered Cardholder. In other words, you must not have any existing or previously cancelled Standard Chartered credit cards in the last 12 months;
    4. Standard Chartered must receive your application for the Eligible Card within the Promotion Period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Standard Chartered may continue to process any application received by Standard Chartered up to 14 calendar days after the end of the Promotion Period, and Standard Chartered shall retain the sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of these applications and/or allow the said applications for the purposes of this Promotion on a case-to-case basis, subject to these terms and conditions;
    5. your Eligible Card application must be approved by Standard Chartered, where such approval is final and unconditional;
    6. you must activate the Eligible Card within 30 calendar days from the card approval date; and
    7. the Eligible Card account must, in the six (6) months from the Eligible Card account opening date, be valid (i.e. the Eligible Card account must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated), in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by Standard Chartered in its sole and absolute discretion.
  1. Subject to the terms contained herein, if you satisfy all the eligibility criteria set out in Clause 2 and 3 above, you will be eligible to receive a S$200 Gift Card for use on Qoo10 (“Qoo10 Gift Card”).

Each eligible customer is only entitled to receive the Qoo10 Gift Card once, regardless of the number of Eligible Cards applied during the Promotion Period.

Eligibility – Existing Credit Cardholders

  1. If you:
    1. have an existing principal credit card with the Bank at the point of your application for the Eligible Card or previously cancelled credit card(s) with the Bank in the last 12 months from the date the Eligible Card is approved; and
    2. satisfy the eligibility criteria set out in all of Clauses 3a, b, d, e, f and g above,

you will be eligible to receive S$20 cashback for the Eligible Card approved under the Promotion, subject to the Current Cashback Cap and Previous Cashback Cap (each as defined below in Clauses 6b and c below).

  1. The Current Cashback Cap and Previous Cashback Cap (each as defined in Clauses 6b and c below):
    1. include any cashback; but
    2. do not include any vouchers / stored value cards / credits / any other sign-up gifts which are not in the form of cashback, received under any and all other credit card sign-up promotions with the Bank that you qualify for, whether prior or subsequent to your application pursuant to this Promotion.
    3. The maximum aggregated amount of cashback that you may receive for this Promotion and all your subsequent credit card application(s) (where relevant) combined is capped at S$120 (“Current Cashback Cap”).
    4. If you have previously applied for credit card(s) with the Bank, the relevant cashback cap applicable for purposes of determining the cashback you will get under this Promotion is the cashback cap in place when your very first application for credit card(s) with the Bank was approved (“Previous Cashback Cap”). For the avoidance of doubt, this Previous Cashback Cap may be less or greater than the Current Cashback Cap.
      1. If you have not reached the Previous Cashback Cap as determined by the Bank in its sole discretion, the cashback you will receive pursuant to this Promotion is the lower of:
        1. the cashback you are eligible to receive under Clause 5 above; and
        2. the Previous Cashback Cap less the aggregated amount of cashback you had earlier received under any and all other credit card sign-up promotions with the Bank.For the avoidance of doubt, if you have not reached the Previous Cashback Cap, the Current Cashback Cap has no bearing on whether you receive cashback under this Promotion.
      2. If you have reached the Previous Cashback Cap as determined by the Bank in its sole discretion, you will not be entitled to any further cashback under this Promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, this is the position regardless of whether the Previous Cashback Cap is greater or less than the Current Cashback Cap.

Fulfilment Mechanics

  1. The Qoo10 Gift Card you are entitled to receive under this Promotion pursuant to Clauses 2, 3 and 4 above will be issued to you in the form an 8-character serial number and a 6-character verification number (“Gift Code”) via a SMS notification within 60 working days of the date of activation of your Eligible Card to your registered mobile number with the Bank.
  2. You are required to enter the gift code on qoo10.sg/giftcard to retrieve the Qoo10 Gift Card which will be redeemed as QMoney into your Q account to be used upon checkout on  https://www.qoo10.sg/ or the Qoo10 mobile app. Upon redeeming QMoney into your Q account, you can draw down on the QMoney when you make purchases using your Q account with no minimum spend required. The Qoo10 Gift Card cannot be combined with any other promo code or gift card offers available on https://www.qoo10.sg/ or the Qoo10 mobile app. Qoo10 Gift Card is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be resold. Any remaining balance from the Qoo10 Gift Card will not be refunded and will not be available for use in subsequent purchases.
  3. Each gift code has a validity of six (6) months from the date the SMS notification (as referred to in Clause 7) is sent to you and each gift code must be utilised before its expiry date.
  4. By providing your personal details on the Qoo10 rewards webpage, you understand and agree that Qoo10 may collect, use and disclose your personal data to their partners/suppliers for the redemption of the Sign-Up Gift. Any dispute relating to or arising from the use and fulfilment of Qoo10 Credits must be resolved directly with Qoo10 (and not with the Bank). You agree and warrant to raise all complaints pertaining to the quality and servicing of the Qoo10 Credits directly with Qoo10.
  5. The cashback you are entitled to receive under this Promotion pursuant to Clause 5 above will be credited to your principal Eligible Card account within 30 working days of the date of activation of your Eligible Card, subject to the Eligible Card being valid and in good standing. The cashback awarded under this Promotion must be utilised within six (6) months from the date of activation of your Eligible Card, failing which, any unused portion of the cashback may be forfeited. Transfer of cashback to another credit card account or withdrawal of cashback in the form of Cashier’s Order or any other means shall not be permitted. For the avoidance of doubt, if you are a new credit cardholder applying for more than one Eligible Cards within the same credit card application, you are not entitled to any cashback for the subsequent credit card(s) you apply within the same credit card application.

General

  1. Unless otherwise stated, this Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions. The Promotion is valid with in conjunction with the Standard Chartered and Grab August to December 2019 Promotion (the terms and conditions of which can be found here), the Standard Chartered and Caltex 2019 Promotion (the terms and conditions of which can be found here) and The Good Life Privileges (which can be found here).
  2. The Qoo10 Credits referred to in Clause 4 and the cashback referred to in Clause 5 (collectively, the “Gifts”) are not exchangeable for cash or any other items, and are non-transferable and non-assignable.
  3. If the Bank at any time determines (in its sole and absolute discretion) that any of the eligibility requirements set out in Clauses 2, 3 or 5 above was not or has not been complied with but a Gift has already been redeemed by you, the Bank reserves the right to recover any / all Gifts or the value of any / all Gifts from you.
  4. Standard Chartered reserves the right to do any of the following without prior notice:
    1. terminate, withdraw, shorten, suspend or extend this Promotion in the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, with or without reason; and/or
    2. vary, modify, add or delete any of the terms of the Promotion.

You agree and consent to be bound by any such variation.

  1. These Standard Chartered Credit Card Sign-up via Qoo10 Promotion Terms and Conditions are to be read in conjunction with our Customer Terms, Credit Card Terms and any other specific Product Terms that may be relevant in connection with this Promotion (collectively, “Other Terms“). In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the Other Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
  2. Standard Chartered is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of any transaction by any party, including acquiring merchants, merchant establishments or any telecommunication provider.
  3. Standard Chartered makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the goods and services bought and accepts no liability for the services provided by any merchant or service provider. Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the merchant or service provider, subject to any additional Qoo10 terms and conditions on the use of Qoo10 Gift Card.
  4. Standard Chartered is not an agent of Qoo10 Pte. Ltd or vice versa.
  5. Standard Chartered reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, including your eligibility for this Promotion and/or to receive any Gift under this Promotion. Standard Chartered’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
  6. By applying for an Eligible Card pursuant to this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of your telephone number to contact you about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or electronic mailer. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by you. Such consent will also prevail even if you are registered or subsequently register your contact information with the national Do Not Call Registry.
  7. A person who is not a party to the Standard Chartered Credit Card Sign-up via Qoo10 Promotion Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
  8. These Standard Chartered Credit Card Sign-Up via Qoo10 Promotion Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
