Standard Chartered Recurring Bill Payments Spend Promotion (Dec 2025 – Dec 2026) Terms and Conditions (“Promotion Terms and Conditions”)

Eligibility

  1. The Standard Chartered Recurring Bill Payments Spend Promotion (“Promotion”) is available from 1 December 2025 to 31 December 2026 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion is open to principal cardholders of the Simply Cash Credit Card issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (each a “Card”) who have received an invitation to participate through any channel made available by the Bank. Each invited principal cardholder shall be referred to as an “Eligible Cardholder”. By participating in the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders agree to be bound by these Promotion Terms and Conditions.
  2. Each Eligible Cardholder will be assigned a specific timeframe, as stated in the push notification sent to them, known as the “Eligible Spend Period”. Only transactions made within this Eligible Spend Period will qualify for the Promotion. Transactions made before or after the Eligible Spend Period will not be considered. Eligibility for the Promotion is determined at the Bank’s sole discretion and will not be disclosed in these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Unless otherwise stated, the Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions. The Promotion is valid in conjunction with the Standard Chartered The Good Life® Programme.
  4. To remain eligible for the Promotion, the Eligible Cardholder’s Card account indicated in the invitation must be valid (i.e., not suspended, cancelled or terminated, and must be in good standing, as determined by the Bank in its sole and absolute discretion) throughout the Promotion Period and for six (6) months thereafter.

Participation

  1. To participate in the Promotion, an Eligible Cardholder must use only the Eligible Card (as defined in Clause 4). For clarity, only transactions charged and posted within the Cardholder’s Eligible Spend Period will be considered for the Promotion.
  2. By participating in the Promotion, the Eligible Cardholder consents to the use of his/her personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of his/her telephone number and email address to contact him/her about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or Electronic Direct Mail. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by the Eligible Cardholder. Such consent will also prevail even if the Eligible Cardholder is registered or subsequently registers his/her contact information with the national Do Not Call Registry.

Promotion Mechanics: Spends Criteria

  1. To qualify for the Promotion, the Eligible Cardholder must set up and complete Recurring Spend using the Eligible Card.

A Qualifying Transaction (as defined in Clause 10) must meet all of the following:

  • It must be a Recurring Spend with a single eligible merchant in a Qualifying Category (as defined in Clause 9).
  • It must occur over three (3) consecutive months within the Cardholder’s Eligible Spend Period (as defined in Clause 8).
  • It must be charged and posted to the Eligible Card within the Eligible Spend Period (as defined in Clause 9).
  1. Promotion Mechanics: Eligible Spend Period
    The three-month Recurring Spend (as defined in clause 13) period may begin at any time within the Cardholder’s Eligible Spend Period. Recurring Spend must occur for three (3) consecutive months, starting from the first month in which a qualifying transaction is posted.

Promotion Mechanics: Qualifying Categories and Transactions

  1. Eligible Cardholders must set-up and pay for their monthly payments using their Eligible Card for qualifying transactions (as set out in Clause 7) in any of the four (4) specified merchant categories listed below (collectively, the “Qualifying Categories”) A transaction is only deemed to be a qualifying transaction if the merchant’s statement description exactly matches or contains the specific text strings detailed in clause 10 below:

Promotion Mechanics: Cashback Details

  1. Eligible Cardholders who have satisfied Clause 7 will be entitled to receive a cashback of up to S$45 (“Cashback”), awarded as follows:
  • Eligible cardholders who meet the spend criteria are entitled to a cashback of up to S$45.
  • You will receive S$10 Cashback for successful recurring spend in any one (1) Qualifying Category.
  • You will receive an Additional S$35 Cashback for recurring spend in a minimum of three (3) Qualifying Categories.
  • The maximum cashback is S$45 per eligible cardholder.
  • The award of the Cashback is limited to the first 2,000 Eligible Cardholders who successfully meet all qualifying criteria.
  1. If only one (1) Qualifying category is met during the Eligible Spend Period, a customer will be given an additional 60 days after the Eligible Spend Period (Clause 8) ends to meet the criteria for the additional $35 cashback.

Definition of Recurring Spend & Examples

  1. Recurring Spend refers to transactions made at the same participating merchant for three (3) consecutive months within the Eligible Spend Period (as defined in Clause 8).

Customer’s Eligible Spend Period was December’25 to May’26 and made the following transactions:

 

Below are illustrations of what qualifies as Recurring Spend under this Promotion:

 

Example 1 — Utilities Bill payment (Geneco)

  • January: Customer is billed S$120 by Geneco and pays using the Eligible Card
  • February: Customer is billed S$125 by Geneco and pays using the Eligible Card
  • March: Customer is billed S$118 by Geneco and pays using the Eligible Card

Result:
Geneco payments were made for three consecutive monthsQualifies as Recurring Spend

 

Example 2 — Gym Membership (Fitness First)

  • December: Monthly membership fee S$160 charged to the Eligible Card
  • January: Monthly membership fee S$160 charged to the Eligible Card
  • February: Monthly membership fee S$160 charged to the Eligible Card

Result:
Membership fees billed every month → Qualifies as Recurring Spend


Example 3 — Transport Transactions (Grab)

  • March: Grab transaction of S$20 charged to the Eligible Card
  • April: Grab transaction of S$5 charged to the Eligible Card
  • May: Grab transaction of S$10 charged to the Eligible Card Card

Result:
Grab Transactions posted every month → Qualifies as Recurring Spend


Below are illustrations of what do not qualify as Recurring Spend under this Promotion:

Customer will be given one (1) extra month of June to complete another Classpass transaction to fulfil the Gym Category of his/her Recurring Spend.

 

Example 2: Quaifying transaction made in the last month of Eligible Spend Period

Customer will be given two (2) extra months June and July to complete the 2 Classpass transactions to fulfil the Gym Category of his/her Recurring Spend.

 

  1. The cashback will be credited to your eligible card within 60 days of the end of the final qualifying transaction month.

General

  1. Eligible Cardholders who dismiss the Promotion Invitation(s), regardless of whether such dismissal is accidental or not, acknowledge that they do so at their own risk. The Bank bears no responsibility for such dismissal and holds no obligation to reinstate or re-issue the Promotion Invitation(s) to them.
  2. The following transactions charged to a Eligible Card will not be considered a qualifying transaction (for the purposes of the Promotion) (“Excluded Transactions”, each an “Excluded Transaction”) :Standard Chartered Credit Cards Retail Transaction Exclusions – Standard Chartered Singapore.
  3. For retail transactions charged to a Eligible Card which are successfully converted into monthly instalments, we will use the initial total amount charged, subject to Clause 6, and not the subsequent monthly instalment amount (converted monthly instalment amount) to determine if a Eligible Cardholder has met the Minimum Spend, provided such transaction is not an Excluded Transaction.
  4. For all non-Singapore dollar retail transactions charged to the Eligible Card, the transaction amount(s) posted in the Eligible Cardholder’s credit card statement (inclusive of the exchange rate conversion and commission, if any) will be used by the Bank to determine if the Eligible Cardholder has made the Minimum Spend, provided such transaction is not an Excluded Transaction.
  5. All eligible retail transactions must be charged and posted to the Eligible Card within 3 days from the transaction date. We are not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of the transactions by any party including but not limited to acquiring merchants, merchant establishments, or any telecommunication provider.
  6. Eligible retail transactions charged to and posted to the card accounts of all supplementary cards linked to a Eligible Card will be treated as eligible retail transactions made by the principal Eligible Cardholder on the relevant principal Eligible Card for the purposes of the Promotion.
  7. The Bank may vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions or modify, terminate, withdraw, extend, suspend or shorten the Promotion at any time at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, with or without prior notice or reason (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reasons).
  8. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Promotion, including the Eligible Cardholder’s eligibility for the Voucher and/or the Promotion. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
  9. In the event the Bank has determined (in the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion) that a Eligible Cardholder is not eligible to receive the Cashback or to participate in the Promotion or has irregularly or wrongly redeemed the Cashback, or where the Bank has knowledge of subsequent events which would mean that the Eligible Cardholder would not have been entitled to the Cashback (including but not limited to where the Eligible Transactions used to meet the Minimum Spend were reversed or refunded), the Bank reserves the right to forfeit the Cashback or deduct its value (or such other amount as it deems fit) from the Eligible Cardholder’s account(s) with the Bank.
  10. The Promotion Terms and Conditions are to be read together with our Customer Terms, Credit Card Terms, Standard Chartered Credit Cards Spends Promotion Terms and Conditions, individual merchant and general terms for The Good Life® Programme and any other product terms that may be applicable in conjunction with the Promotion (collectively “Other Terms”).
  11. In the event of any inconsistency between these Promotion Terms and Conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Promotion Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
  12. A person who is not a party to the Promotion Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
  13. The Promotion Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Promotion Terms and Conditions, shall be governed by and are to be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
