      Standard Chartered Visa Infinite August 2017 Event Promotion (“August 2017 Event Promotion”)

      1. The August 2017 Event Promotion is available from 1 August 2017 to 20 August 2017 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period“). By participating in this August 2017 Event Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
      2. To be eligible for the August 2017 Event Promotion, you must satisfy the following requirements:
        1. you must be an attendee of The Peak Premier Dinner with Standard Chartered & Visa Infinite event;
        2. you must fill in a consent form and/or send an SMS in the following format, “VIEVENT<space>Name<space>NRIC” (Example: VIEVENT Bobby S10XXXXXA) to 77222 during the Promotion Period to provide consent to Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (the “Bank”) contacting you to assist with your application for the Visa Infinite Credit Card (“VI Card”) issued by the Bank;
        3. the Bank must receive your application for the VI Card as a principal cardholder (“VI Cardholder“) within the Promotion Period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Bank may continue to process any application received by the Bank up to 14 calendar days after the end of the Promotion Period, and the Bank shall retain the sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of these applications and/or allow the said applications for the purposes of this August 2017 Event Promotion on a case-to-case basis, subject to these terms and conditions;
        4. your VI Card must be activated within 30 days of card approval
        5. your VI Card application must be given final and unconditional approval by the Bank; and
        6. the VI Card must, within 6 months of account opening date, be valid (i.e. the VI Card must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated), in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by the Bank in its sole discretion.
      3. If the VI Cardholder satisfies the eligibility criteria set out in Clause 2 above, the VI Cardholder is entitled to receive an additional 15,000 miles credited to the VI Card in the form of 37,500 Rewards Points (the “Event Gift”).
      4. Each VI Cardholder can only receive one (1) Event Gift under this August 2017 Event Promotion and the Gift is non-transferable and non-exchangeable for any other items or money’s worth.
      5. Please note that the VI Cardholder will be charged with an annual fee of S$588.50 (including GST) in the first year and every subsequent year, for as long as the VI Card is active. This annual fee is strictly not waiveable.
      6. The miles reflected in Clause 3 will be credited in the form of Rewards Points to the VI Card account within 60 days of VI Card activation date.
      7. The VI Cardholder can then redeem rewards, such as miles, in the manner set out in Rewards Programme Terms. Please take note of the applicable fees and terms and conditions that apply in the Rewards Programme Terms in relation to conversion of Rewards Points to miles or other rewards at sc.com/sg/rewardstnc.
      8. The Bank reserves the right to claw back the Rewards Points credited to the VI Card account under this August 2017 Event Promotion if the VI Cardholder fails to make the annual fee payment.
      9. For the avoidance of any doubt, VI Cardholders who apply under the August 2017 Event Promotion will be eligible for receiving the Upfront Gift (as defined in Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Upfront Gift Promotion (“Gift Promotion”)).
      10. By participating in this August 2017 Event Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of your telephone number to contact you about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or multimedia messaging. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by you. Such consent will also prevail even if you are registered or subsequently register your contact information with the national Do Not Call Registry.
      11. Except for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Bank, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bank and members of the Bank’s group shall have no liability in respect of, and will be indemnified from and against, any liability, loss, claim, damage or costs of any kind (including legal costs) to any person or entity, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, whether by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Event Gift.
      12. The Event Gift is provided by third party merchant(s) who are not participants or sponsors of the Promotion. The Bank is not an agent of such merchant(s). The Bank makes no representation or warranty as to the Event Gift or the quality of any goods and services provided by the merchant(s). Where applicable, any dispute about the quality and condition of the Event Gift is to be resolved directly with the merchant(s). The Bank is not obliged to assist or act on the VI Cardholder’s behalf in communicating with the merchant(s).
      13. The Bank may at any time vary, modify, add or delete any of the terms and conditions governing the August 2017 Event Promotion, including terminating or withdrawing the August 2017 Event Promotion, without prior notice or reason.
      14. The Bank reserves the right to do any of the following with or without prior notice or reason:
        1. terminate, withdraw, shorten or extend this August 2017 Event Promotion at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion; and/or
        2. vary, modify, add or delete any of the terms of this August 2017 Event Promotion.
          You agree and consent to be bound by any such variation.
      15. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this August 2017 Event Promotion, including the VI Cardholder’s eligibility for this August 2017 Event Promotion. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Gift Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
      16. These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with our Customer Terms, Credit Card Terms and any other specific product terms that may be applicable in conjunction with this August 2017 Promotion (collectively, “Other Terms“). In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the Other Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
      17. In the event the Bank has determined that a VI Cardholder has irregularly or wrongly redeemed the Event Gift from the Bank, or where the Bank has knowledge of subsequent events which would mean that the VI Cardholder would not have been entitled to redeem the Event Gift, the Bank reserves the right to claw back the Event Gift or to deduct the value of the Event Gift (or such other amount as it deems fit) from the VI Cardholder’s account(s) with the Bank.
      18. Unless otherwise stated, the August 2017 Event Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions. The Promotion is valid in conjunction with the Bank’s “Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Promotion Terms & Conditions”.
      19. A person who is not a party to the Promotion Terms and Conditions has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
      20. These August 2017 Event Promotion Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
