Spend Campaign Terms & Conditions

Important Information:

  1. The eligible products for this campaign are the Journey, Smart Saadiq and Manhattan credit cards.
  2. To be eligible for this offer, clients have to register (Opt-in) for the campaign through the link provided in the email communication or SMS Cashback to 3133 from their registered mobile number.
  3. Meet the minimum retail spends threshold as illustrated in the below table to earn the incremental cashback % on the eligible merchant spend categories.
  4. Clients can earn a maximum cashback of up to AED 500 per month. Please note a maximum cashback amount is capped on each eligible merchant spend category per month as shown in the below table.
  5. This is a limited period offer from 10 June 2024 till 31 August 2024 (both days inclusive).

The campaign is only applicable to all existing Standard Chartered Bank Journey, Smart Saadiq, and Manhattan credit cardholders – as well as the clients acquired during the campaign offer period.

To enjoy the incremental cashback, the select Cardholder must meet the minimum spend requirement (hereinafter illustrated in the below table) as defined/specified in the direct/individual communication sent across by the Bank (via e-mail / SMS).

Through this campaign, upon meeting the campaign criteria’s, the eligible credit cardholders will earn higher Cashback on the selected merchants’ categories during the campaign period:

*The incremental campaign cashback will be credited to eligible primary credit card accounts within 60 business days after the Spend month. For example, the total incremental cashback for spends made between 1 July to 31 July 2024 will be credited by 30 September 2024.

1Travel spend category includes all international (non-AED), Airline, hotel and rent a car spends.

Please note, Visa shall be solely responsible for determining the Merchant Category Codes (“MCCs”) for the campaign’s (School fees, Travel and Entertainment) eligible merchant categories. All the incremental cashback amounts will be calculated as per the merchant categories defined by Visa. Visa’s MCC classification shall be final.

The cashback will not be considered as repayment/payment of the due outstanding.

The ‘minimum spend requirement’ must be on RETAIL transactions only, which is credit card retail purchases, Point-Of-Sale, and online transactions (within or outside the UAE)

The following are excluded from eligibility criteria spends – exchange houses, cash withdrawals, Balance Transfers, Fixed Payment Plans, School Fee Cashier Order and Smart Payment Plans

Retail purchases/transactions made on the Primary as well as Supplementary Credit Card/s will be included in the calculation of the Minimum Spend Requirement.

Cardholders eligible for this campaign will not be eligible for any other campaign offered by Standard Chartered Bank UAE on Credit Cards during the period of this campaign.

Cardholders who have cancelled or terminated the credit card for any reason at the time of computation of the eligibility for this campaign, will not be eligible for the cashback.

To the extent of any inconsistency between this Offer terms and the Standard Chartered Client Terms and Credit Card Terms the Standard Chartered Client Terms and Credit Card Terms and Conditions will prevail.

If the Credit Card is overdue, blocked or suspended for any reason whatsoever, then the cashback shall stand forfeited but may be reinstated, at the sole discretion of the Bank.

The Bank reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Offer and to disqualify any participant who tampers with the offer and/or the entry process.

These terms and conditions are in addition to and supplementary to the terms and conditions applicable to all Credit Card accounts as contained in the Credit Card Terms and Conditions.
