What drives you?

Developing others! The opportunity to help realise their potential, and be their ‘thinking’ partner excites and drives me to continue further my coaching work – both at the Bank and my pro-bono work.

How have you grown with the Bank?

I have grown to be a stronger leader through the regular 360° feedback I receive, fuelled by my thirst for learning as I constantly upskill to stay relevant. Being in a company that is big on diversity and inclusion has also helped me become more aware of my unconscious biases. This is why I want to be able to re-create the same safe environment I feel with the people I work with, allowing them to be vulnerable and bring their whole selves to these coaching sessions.

What are your favourite moments in the Bank?

The Circuit Breaker period was memorable to me because instead of feeling limited, I saw the ‘disruption’ as the silver lining to do things differently. This resonates with me because, as a coach I always encourage individuals to break glass ceilings and step out of their comfort zones. If we repivot our mindsets, challenges actually accelerate innovation and creativity even more!

How do you balance the different roles in your life?

Whenever I do feel overwhelmed, I will take some time out to be alone, and recalibrate my state of mind through breathing exercises. It’s easier to prioritise with an uncluttered mind!

Your advice to people looking to join the banking industry?

Be prepared to be part of the disruption and be brave to embrace change.

Describe with three words what it’s been like working in the Bank.

Stretching. Exciting. Energising.
