Important Information

New security measures for your digital banking transactions

Your security is our priority. We are enhancing our security measures to better protect you against increasingly sophisticated scams.

From August 2026, a 12-hour cooling period will apply when you:

  • Add a new payee
  • Increase your daily transfer limit
  • Update your contact details and address

What this means for you

  • You can only make transfers to a newly added payee after the 12-hour cooling period has ended.
  • Any increase to your daily transfer limit will take effect after 12 hours.
  • Updates to your contact details including address will be processed only after the 12-hour cooling period.

The cooling period gives you time to review these requests and spot any unauthorised activity before they take effect.

During this time, you can continue with your usual banking activities, including transfers to existing payees within your current limits.

When does it take effect? The change will take effect from August 2026.
What does the cooling period mean? Transactions to newly added payees, increase in daily transfer limits, and updates to your contact details including address will only take effect after the 12-hour cooling period.
Why is this introduced? This is an added security measure to protect you from scams and unauthorised transactions.
Can I still make payments during this period? Yes. You can continue to transfer to existing payees within your current limit.
What should I do if I did not make the request? Please contact the bank immediately via our official channels.
Will this affect all transactions? No. Only transactions to newly added payees and increase in daily transfer limits are affected.
What happens if I submit multiple requests to increase my limit during the cooling period? If you submit another request to increase your transfer limit during the cooling period, it will replace your earlier request. The 12-hour cooling period will restart from the latest request.
Will a decrease in my transaction limit be subject to the cooling period? Requests to decrease your transaction limit will take effect immediately and will not be subject to the 12-hour cooling period.

If you have updated your email address or primary mobile number, notifications and OTPs will continue to be sent to your existing contact details during the 12-hour cooling period. After the cooling period is over, it will be sent to your updated contact details.

What happens if I update multiple profile details in one request? If your request includes updates to your contact details or address, the entire request will be processed only after the 12-hour cooling period.
