Important updates to activity alert notifications

Dear Clients,

With effect from 18 July 2021, alert notifications on Standard Chartered Bank account(s) for the following types of activities will be sent by means of SMS or push notifications via the SC Mobile App:

  • Updated profile details
  • Addition of new payment beneficiaries, such as Local Payee, PayNow Payee, International Payee, Bill Payment Payee, eCashier’s Order Payee or Pay Other Bank’s Credit Card Payee
  • Transactions performed above preset authorisation amount
  • Creation of new account opening
  • Revision of online daily funds transfer limit


Ensure that your mobile number is recently updated, and push notifications are enabled on your SC Mobile App. If not, log in to SC Mobile or Online Banking to update personal details and enable alerts and notifications.
