      Christmas 2019 Promotion

      The Christmas 2019 Promotion has ended. Cardholders eligible for the cashback will be notified by 28 February 2020.

      Registration has closed on 31 December 2019.

      Terms and Conditions

      • The Christmas 2019 Promotion (“Promotion”) comprises the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion (“Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion”), which is available from 15 November 2019 to 31 December 2019 (both dates inclusive) (“Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion Period”) , and the Santa’s Workshop Promotion (“Santa’s Workshop Promotion”), which is available from 15 November 2019 to 7 January 2020 (both dates inclusive) (“Santa’s Workshop Promotion Period” and together with the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion Period, the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion is open to all principal cardholders of credit cards issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) (each a “Card”). Each principal cardholder of a Card shall be referred to as an “Eligible Cardholder”. To participate in the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders must successfully register during the period of 13 November to 31 December 2019 (both dates inclusive) (“Registration Period”) by sending an SMS composed in the following format: “XMAS19” (Example: XMAS19) to 77222 or +65 8318 4584 (if not in Singapore) from his/her mobile number that has been registered with the Bank (“Bank Registered Mobile Number”). If an Eligible Cardholder successfully registers on 30 or 31 December 2019, he/she will only be registered for the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion as 2 calendar days from the time the Bank receives the SMS will be required for successful registration for the Santa’s Workshop Promotion. An acknowledgement of successful registration will be sent to the Eligible Cardholder’s Bank Registered Mobile Number. Upon successful registration for the Promotion, all of the Eligible Cardholder’s validly existing Cards (i.e. not suspended, cancelled and/or terminated) which are in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner, as determined by the Bank, will be registered for the Promotion (such successfully registered card(s) to be referred to as a “Registered Card” and the cardholder of such Registered Card, a “Registered Cardholder”). Registered Cardholders who have changed or updated their Bank Registered Mobile Number will have to re-register for the Promotion using their new Bank Registered Mobile Number. Failure to re-register will mean that the Eligible Cardholder will not be eligible for the Promotion. Click here for the full Christmas 2019 Promotion Terms and Conditions which apply.       • “Spend & Be Rewarded Qualifying Transactions” are retail transactions charged by a Registered Cardholder that: a) have transaction dates falling within the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion Period; b) have been successfully posted to the Registered Card account during the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion Period; and c) are not excluded transactions (see full Christmas 2019 Promotion Terms and Conditions for list of excluded transactions). Under the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion, the first 1,000 Registered Cardholders to charge S$20,000 in Spend & Be Rewarded Qualifying Transaction(s), during the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion Period, aggregated across his/her Registered Card(s), will receive a S$500 cashback (“Gift”). Each Registered Cardholder is eligible for one (1) Gift only. Registered Cardholders who have qualified to receive the Gift will be notified by SMS to his/her Bank Registered Mobile Number no later than 28 February 2020.
      • To qualify, Registered Cardholders must charge a single retail transaction to a Registered Card that: a) is of an amount of S$150 or more; b) has a transaction date falling within the Santa’s Workshop Promotion Period; c) has been successfully posted to a Registered Card account during the Santa’s Workshop Promotion Period; and d) is not an excluded transaction (see full Christmas 2019 Promotion Terms and Conditions for list of excluded transactions) (each such transaction fulfilling such criteria to be referred to as a “Santa’s Workshop Qualifying Transaction”).The first 180,000 Santa’s Workshop Qualifying Transactions (each a “Winning Transaction”) during the Santa’s Workshop Promotion Period will each be randomly assigned a unique URL by an automated computerised system. A SMS containing a unique URL (“Santa’s Workshop SMS”) will be sent to the Registered Cardholder’s Bank Registered Number when such Santa’s Workshop Qualifying Transaction is a Winning Transaction to reveal a cashback prize of up to S$30. Each Registered Cardholder is eligible for one unique URL sent via one SMS for every Winning Transaction made, capped at a maximum of 3 Winning Transactions per day. If the Registered Cardholder makes more than 3 Winning Transactions in a day, the Registered Cardholder will only receive the unique URLs for the first 3 Winning Transactions which occurred on the same day. “Winning Cardholder” refers to the Registered Cardholder of each Winning Transaction. All cashback will be credited to the relevant Winning Cardholders’ Registered Card account used to charge the corresponding Santa’s Workshop Qualifying Transaction by 28 February 2020.

      Excluded Transactions

      The following transactions charged to a Registered Card will not be considered as a Spend & Be Rewarded Qualifying Transaction or Santa’s Workshop Qualifying Transaction for the purposes of the Spend & Be Rewarded Promotion and the Santa’s Workshop Promotion and respectively:

      • Insurance premiums, including premiums for investment-linked policies;
      • Any transactions or bill payments to Telecommunications and utilities providers including but not limited to Starhub, Singtel, M1, and Singapore Power);
      • Any payment via AXS network;
      • Any payment via SAM network;
      • Payments to government agencies which include but not limited to Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Public Utilities Board, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and the Ministry of Manpower;
      • Income tax payments;
      • Any bill payment made using SC EasyBill bill payment programme;
      • Any top-ups or payment of funds to any prepaid cards (with exception of EZ-Reload), prepaid accounts, digital wallets including but not limited to Grab, Singtel Dash, WorldRemit Singapore, YouTrip or any other accounts as the bank may specify from time to time;
      • EZ-Link cards transactions;
      • TransitLink transactions;
      • Any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 6211 (Security Brokers/Dealers) and 7995 (Gambling/Lotto);
      • Balance transfers (or funds transfers), instalment loans and cash advances, purchases via NETS and ongoing instalment payments;
      • Any fees and charges (including annual fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, cash advance fees, finance charges and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges) charged to any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder;
      • Any amount charged to the any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder during the Promotion Period that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed; and
      • Balance owing on the credit cards of the Registered Cardholder account from other months.
