Terms And Conditions

The Strike & Win 2020 Promotion (“Promotion”) is available from 15 July 2020 to 14 September 2020 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion is open to all principal cardholders of credit cards issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) (each a “Card”). Each principal cardholder of a Card shall be referred to as an “Eligible Cardholder”. To participate in the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders must successfully register during the Registration Period, from 13 July to 12 September 2020 (both dates inclusive) (“Registration Period”). 2 calendar days from the time of registration is required for successful registration for the Promotion. To register for the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders must send an SMS composed in the following format: “SW20” (Example: SW20) to 77222 or +65 8318 4584 (if not in Singapore) from his/her mobile number that that has been registered with the Bank (“Bank Registered Mobile Number”). An acknowledgement of successful registration will be sent to the Eligible Cardholder’s Bank Registered Mobile Number. Upon successful registration for the Promotion, all of the Eligible Cardholder’s validly existing Cards (i.e. not suspended, cancelled and/or terminated) which are in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner, as determined by the Bank, will be registered for the Promotion (such successfully registered card(s) to be referred to as a “Registered Card” and the cardholder of such Registered Card, a “Registered Cardholder”). Registered Cardholders who have changed or updated their Bank Registered Mobile Number will have to re-register for the Promotion using their new Bank Registered Mobile Number. Failure to re-register will mean that the Eligible Cardholder will not be eligible for the Promotion. To qualify, Registered Cardholders must charge a single retail transaction to a Registered Card that: a) is of an amount of: (i) S$150 or more (from 15 July 2020 to 6 August 2020),  and (ii) S$100 or more (from 7 August 2020 to 14 September 2020); b) has a transaction date falling within the Promotion Period; c) has been successfully posted to a Registered Card account during the Promotion Period; and d) is not an excluded transaction (as set out at Clause 24 of the Strike & Win 2020 Promotion Terms and Conditions) (each such transaction fulfilling all limbs of this clause hereinafter referred to as a “Strike & Win Qualifying Transaction”). The first 100,000 Strike & Win Qualifying Transactions (each a “Winning Transaction”) during the Promotion Period will each be randomly assigned a unique URL by an automated computerised system. A SMS containing a unique URL (“Strike & Win SMS”) will be sent to the Registered Cardholder’s Bank Registered Number when such Strike & Win Qualifying Transaction is a Winning Transaction to reveal a cashback prize of up to S$1,000. Each Registered Cardholder is eligible for one unique URL sent via one SMS for every Winning Transaction made, capped at a maximum of 2 Winning Transactions per day. If the Registered Cardholder makes more than 2 Winning Transactions in a day, the Registered Cardholder will only receive the unique URLs for the first 2 Winning Transactions which occurred on the same day. “Winning Cardholder” refers to the Registered Cardholder of each Winning Transaction. All cashback will be credited to the relevant Winning Cardholders’ Registered Card account used to charge the corresponding Strike & Win Qualifying Transaction by 30 November 2020.

Excluded Transactions

  • Insurance premiums, including premiums for investment-linked policies;
  • Any transactions or bill payments to Telecommunications and utilities providers including but not limited to Starhub, Singtel, M1, and Singapore Power;
  • Any payment via AXS network;
  • Any payment via SAM network;
  • Payments to government agencies which include but not limited to Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Public Utilities Board, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and the Ministry of Manpower;
  • Income tax payments;
  • Any bill payment made using SC EasyBill bill payment programme;
  • Any top-ups or payment of funds to any prepaid cards (with exception of EZ-Reload), prepaid accounts, digital wallets including but not limited to Grab, Singtel Dash, WorldRemit Singapore, YouTrip or any other accounts as the bank may specify from time to time
  • Any top-ups or payment of funds which are classified under Merchant Category Codes 6012 (Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services, and Debt Repayment) and/or 6540 (or Non-Financial Institutions – Stored Value Card Purchase/Load);
  • EZ-Link cards transactions;
  • TransitLink transactions;
  • Any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 6211 (Security Brokers/Dealers) and 7995 (Gambling/Lotto);
  • Balance transfers (or funds transfers), instalment loans and cash advances, purchases via NETS and ongoing instalment payments;
  • Any fees and charges (including annual fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, cash advance fees, finance charges and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges) charged to any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder;
  • Any amount charged to the any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder during the Promotion Period that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed; and
  • Balance owing on the Registered Cardholder’s credit card accounts from other months.
