Lucy Demery is Managing Director and Global Head of Fintech Banking at Standard Chartered, where she leads institutional coverage of the fintech sector. Lucy also works with SC Ventures, Group Strategy and Corporate Development on the Bank’s fintech partnerships and investments. Lucy is a member of the UK Government’s Fintech Investment Group, a selection panellist for The FinTech50 and a regular speaker at fintech conferences.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered in 2015, Lucy was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan and an M&A lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York. She has also worked in development finance in Southeast Asia. Lucy grew up in Hong Kong, graduated with First Class Honours from the London School of Economics and received her Juris Doctorate from Columbia University, where she was a Kent Scholar.
