We're aiming to reduce the number of glaucoma patients becoming blind by 20% in Sub-Saharan Africa, using a new laser treatment therapy financed by our Innovation fund.
Quick fixes, lasting results
Treatment for glaucoma usually involves taking daily eye drops for life, which is expensive, logistically challenging and difficult to sustain.
So a new laser treatment called Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) will not only reduce the number of glaucoma cases in the region, but also ensure that the treatment lasts.
Our community programmes
Our programmes aim to address some of the most pressing challenges facing our communities.
We contribute much more than profits. Through our business, we can be a force for good.
Restoring sight in Dhaka
Like almost 30% of people living in the slums of Dhaka, Jainab and Abal can't afford eye-care.
