Offer on Credit Card – Terms and Conditions

Definitions

  1. Bank: Standard Chartered Bank in India.
  2. Offer: The offer means Qualified Customer gets 20% cashback from Bank (as per details in the table below) on using credit card for a minimum amount of INR 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) on dining and utility bill payment like electricity bill, gas bill, mobile postpaid bill, etc during the Offer Period [the 10 days period from the 20th to 30th day since card issuance date] as more specifically described hereunder.

  3.  Offer Period: The offer period will be communicated to the customer through Email/SMS/Call to the customer’s registered mobile number / email ID with the bank.
  4. Qualified Customer: The Offer is only applicable to a select set of Standard Chartered credit card holders who will receive the Offer communication from the Bank.
  5. Qualified category: Dining, Utilities like bill payments, telecom etc as defined by VISA/ Mastercard

Offer Details

  1. Qualified Customer must carry out at least one transaction of minimum INR 500 using the Banks credit card to pay utility bills like gas, phone, electricity or dining for a minimum of INR 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) during the Offer Period.
  2. Offer will be valid only on the first eligible transaction.
  3. Qualified Customer would be eligible for complimentary cashback described in the table at point 1(2) on fulfilment of the Offer eligibility criteria mentioned in the Offer communication during the Offer Period.
  4. In the event a Bank cardholder has multiple credit cards, the Offer communication will contain the last 4 digits of the credit card which will have to be used to buy goods and services under this Offer.
  5. This Offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer/promotion of Standard Chartered Bank.
  6. Qualified Customers will receive the cashback within 90 days from the end of the Offer Period.
  7. The following transactions will not qualify for meeting the spends criteria on the credit card: ATM cash withdrawals, fee payments, transaction which is either unsuccessful or cancelled/rejected by the Bank, transactions which are followed up with partial or full reversals or transactions that are cancelled by the card holder.

Communication of the Offer

  1. The offer will be communicated to customers through – emailers and/or SMS on their registered email address or mobile number only.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. This is an exclusive offer provided by Standard Chartered Bank. All details regarding the offer are available on the bank’s website (www.sc.com/in).
  2. The Bank reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the terms applicable to this Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to modify, withdraw or discontinue the Offer without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Neither anything contained in the terms and conditions set out herein nor those forming part of the e-mailers or running this Offer shall be construed as an obligation on the part of the Bank to continue the Offer up to the date of termination/expiry of the Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to change, amend or remove the cashback mentioned in the table at point 1(2) hereinabove by intimating the Qualified Customer about the same.
  3. Participation in this Offer is entirely voluntary, and it is agreed and understood by the participants that participation shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis.
  4. The Offer is non-transferable.
  5. The transaction categories for this offer are restaurants, utilities bill payments, telecom as identified by VISA and MasterCard
    Please note identification of websites/applications/outlets as retail categories or government payments and insurance categories is based on the merchant category codes allotted by the card associations. The franchisees have listed qualifying criteria for Merchant Establishments to qualify to be listed under a specified category. Standard Chartered Bank will not be responsible for providing reward points for purchases at websites/applications and outlets which have not registered themselves under merchant category codes assigned for retail categories or government payments and insurance categories by card associations. The Merchant Establishment needs to have accordingly qualified and hence listed in the Category, in order for the transaction to be eligible for reward points.
  6. The Offer shall not be available wherever it is prohibited under law and/or cannot be made/continued for any reason whatsoever.
  7. All disputes under this Offer are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals of Mumbai.
  8. The Bank shall not be obliged to make any public announcements of the results of the Offer.
  9. In all matters relating to this Offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  10. By participating in the offer, the participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein and those forming part of the e-mailers.
  11. Any tax or other liabilities or charges payable to the government or any other statutory authority/body or any participating establishment, which may arise or accrue to the Qualified Customer, shall be solely borne by the Qualified Customer.
