Online Exclusive For New to Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Credit Card and Credit Card Funds Transfer Promotion Terms and Conditions

  1. This Online Exclusive For New to Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Credit Card and Credit Card Funds Transfer Promotion (the “Promotion”) is available from 19 August 2019 to 18 September 2019 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”) to existing and new clients of Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Standard Chartered” or the “Bank”), who are individuals.
  1. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion is not transferable.
  1. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Promotion Mechanics

  1. To qualify for this Promotion:
  2. you must apply for:
  3. the Unlimited Cashback Credit Card issued by the Bank (the “Eligible Card”) as a principal cardholder (such an application will be referred to as the “Unlimited Card Application”); or
  4. the Eligible Card as a principal cardholder with a new transfer of funds from the Eligible Card’s account pursuant to the Bank’s Credit Card Funds Transfer Programme with 1.5% processing fee chargeable (EIR of 3.10% p.a. for a 6 months tenure) to a credit card, credit line or bank account with any financial institution, excluding credit card accounts with the Bank and credit line accounts with the Bank (“Eligible Card Funds Transfer”), and an application for the same to be referred to as the “Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application”);
  5. the Eligible Card Application and/or Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application (as the case may be) must be submitted via the Bank’s telesales and online channels within the Promotion Period;
  6. the Unlimited Card Application and/or Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application (as the case may be) must be approved by the Bank, where such approval is final and unconditional; and
  7. you must activate (i) the Eligible Card, if you make an Unlimited Card Application or (ii) the Eligible Card, if you make an Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application, within 30 calendar days from the approval date of the Eligible Card.
  1. If the qualifying criteria set out in Clause 4 above are satisfied, you will be eligible to receive one or more of the following:
  2. a S$80 cashback (“New CC Cashback”) if you are a new Standard Chartered principal cardholder or have no active credit card with the Bank. This means that you must not have any existing credit cards issued by the Bank. If you have previously cancelled credit card(s) with the Bank, and such credit card(s) were cancelled more than 12 months prior to the date the Eligible Card is approved, you will be eligible to receive the New CC Cashback;
  3. a S$20 cashback (“Existing CC Cashback”):

for your new Eligible Card:

  1. if you already have at least one (1) existing principal credit card with the Bank at the point of approval of your Eligible Card application; or
  2. if you have previously cancelled credit card(s) with the Bank in the last 12 months prior to the date the Eligible Card is approved; and

Each of the abovementioned cashback in this Clause 5 shall be referred to as “Cashback”.

  1. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you acknowledge that:
  2. you can apply for a maximum of one Eligible Card pursuant to this Promotion;
  3. the New CC Cashback is subject to the Previous Cashback Cap (as defined below) if you have previously cancelled credit cards which were cancelled more than 12 months prior to the date the Eligible Card is approved; and
  4. the Existing CC Cashback is subject to the Current Cashback Cap and Previous Cashback Cap (each as defined below).
  1. The Cashback will be credited into your Eligible Card account within 60 calendar days of activating the Eligible Card or both the Eligible Card and the Rewards+ Card.
  1. The Cashback is not transferable or exchangeable for cash or any other items.

Current Cashback Cap and Previous Cashback Cap

  1. The maximum aggregated amount of cashback that you may receive for this Promotion and all your subsequent credit card application(s) (where relevant) combined is capped at S$100 (“Current Cashback Cap”).
  1. If you have previously applied for credit card(s) with the Bank, the cashback cap relevant for purposes of determining the cashback you will receive under this Promotion is the cashback cap in place when your very first application for credit card(s) with the Bank was

approved (“Previous Cashback Cap”).

  1. For the avoidance of doubt, the Current Cashback Cap and Previous Cashback Cap does not include any vouchers / stored value cards / credits / any other sign-up gifts which are not in the form of cashback, and which are received under other credit card sign-up promotions with the Bank, whether prior or subsequent to your application under this Promotion.
  1. The Previous Cashback Cap may be less or greater than the Current Cashback Cap. You understand that:
  2. If you have not reached the Previous Cashback Cap as determined by the Bank in its sole discretion, the cashback you will receive pursuant to this Promotion is the lower of:
  3. the cashback you are eligible to receive under Clause 5 above; and
  4. the Previous Cashback Cap less the aggregated amount of cashback you had earlier received under other credit card sign-up promotions with the Bank. For the avoidance of doubt, if you have not reached the Previous Cashback Cap, the Current Cashback Cap has no bearing on whether you receive cashback under this Promotion.
  5. If you have reached the Previous Cashback Cap as determined by the Bank in its sole discretion, you will not be entitled to any further cashback under this Promotion. This is the position regardless of whether the Previous Cashback Cap is greater or less than the Current Cashback Cap.

Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer

  1. A separate Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer account (“Funds Transfer Account”) will be created upon the approval of the Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application. This is a separate account from your Eligible Card account.
  1. A one-time non-refundable 1.5% processing fee (“Processing Fee”) on the amount transferred pursuant to the Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application (“Approved Amount”) will be charged to the Funds Transfer Account upon the approval of the aforesaid application.
  1. The Approved Amount will be debited from the Credit Card Funds Transfer Account, treated in the same way as a charge arising from a normal credit card transaction and will be reflected in the statement issued for the Credit Card Funds Transfer Account.
  1. You must pay the monthly minimum payment indicated in your monthly credit card statement for the Credit Card Funds Transfer Account and other accounts (if there are transactions and/or outstanding balances) to prevent incurring additional fees and charges.
  1. The Effective Interest Rate (“EIR”) of 3.10% is calculated taking into consideration the Processing Fee and based on the assumption that (a) full repayment is made within six months from the date the Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application is approved, and (b) repayment is made with minimum monthly payments of 1% of principal plus interest, fees, charges.
  1. The promotional interest rate of 0% p.a. is valid for the six months from the date the Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application is approved, after which the prevailing interest rate chargeable for your Eligible Card account will apply. Interest is subject to compounding if it is not paid in full. The promotional interest rate of 0% p.a. is applicable only to the Approved Amount and not to existing outstanding balance, fees and charges associated with any other funds/balance transfers, card transactions, or cash advance transactions.
  1. If you and/or your supplementary cardholder default on any payment in respect of any of your credit card accounts or any other credit facilities from the Bank, during the six months starting from the date the Eligible Card Application and Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application are approved, a late payment interest of 28% p.a. will be charged to all accounts.
  1. The Bank shall also be entitled to withdraw the promotional interest rate and charge applicable finance charges and/or late payment charges at such rate as we may determine.
  1. Payment must be made individually to the different accounts that you hold with the Bank. Payment made into another account or any credit balance in another account will not be automatically transferred into the Credit Card Funds Transfer Account to settle any outstanding amounts.
  1. If payments are not received by the due date for any account(s), your Credit Card Funds

Transfer Account(s) will incur a late payment fee of S$80 per account. The EIR applicable to the Credit Card Funds Transfer Account(s) will be adjusted to 28% p.a. if the minimum payment due is not received in full by the next statement date for your Credit Card Funds Transfer Account(s), and finance charges will apply if payment is not received by the due date.

  1. If you have missed only one payment, the EIR will be reinstated to the prevailing EIR once minimum payment due is made in full. If however your Credit Card Funds Transfer Account has been twice or more past due on a consecutive basis, the EIR will only revert to 26.9% p.a.) once minimum payment due (for the relevant consecutive months where the account was past due) is made in full.
  1. The minimum credit card funds transfer amount is S$1,000, and the maximum is 95% of

your total available credit limit of the Eligible Card Account at the time of processing the Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application.

  1. The Bank reserves the right to decline or approve the Eligible Card Application and Eligible Credit Card Funds Transfer Application with a lower funds transfer amount than the amount applied for without any reason whatsoever.
  1. Supplementary cardholders, and cardholders holding corporate cards or credit cards with S$500 credit limit are not eligible to apply for credit card funds transfers pursuant to the Bank’ Credit Card Funds Transfer Programme. Funds transfers pursuant to the Bank’s Credit Card Funds Transfer Programme will not be eligible for any Rewards Points and cashback.

General

  1. By participating in the Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of your telephone number to contact you about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or multimedia messaging. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by you. Such consent will also prevail even if you are registered or subsequently registers your contact information with the national Do Not Call Registry.
  1. The Promotion is valid in conjunction with the Bank’s Credit Cards Sign-up Promotion (which can be found here), the Standard Chartered Caltex 2019 Promotion and The Good Life® 2019 Promotion (the individual merchant and general terms and conditions of which can be found here). Unless otherwise stated, the Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, privileges or promotions.
  1. In the event the Bank has determined that you are not eligible to receive the Bonus Cashback or to participate in the Promotion, or where the Bank has knowledge of subsequent events which would mean that you would not have been entitled to redeem the Bonus Cashback, the Bank reserves the right to claw back the Bonus Cashback and deduct its value from your account(s) with the Bank.
  1. These terms are to be read in conjunction with our Customer Terms, Unlimited Cashback Credit Card Terms (which can be found here) and Credit Card Funds Transfer Programme Product Terms (which can be found here) and any other specific Product Terms that may be relevant in connection with this Promotion (collectively, “Other Terms”). In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the Other Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
  1. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochures,

marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions shall, to the extent of such inconsistency, prevail.

  1. The Bank is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of any transaction by any party, including acquiring merchants, merchant establishments or any telecommunication provider.
  1. The Bank may vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of the terms and conditions governing the Promotion or to terminate, withdraw, extend or shorten the Promotion at any time in the Bank’s sole discretion, with or without prior notice or reason.
  1. The Bank reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Promotion, including your eligibility for the Cashback and/or the Promotion.
  2. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained.
  1. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
  1. These terms and conditions are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of these terms and conditions shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore.
