Account Based Ticketing (ABT) Cashback 2017 Promotion Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

  1. This Account Based Ticketing (ABT) Cashback 2017 Promotion (“Promotion”) is held in conjunction with the TransitLink Account Based Ticketing Pilot.
  2. This Promotion is available from 20 March to 30 November 2017 (both dates inclusive) ("Promotion Period"). The Promotion is open to all eligible principal cardholders of Standard Chartered and MANHATTAN World Mastercard® Credit Cards, each with the Contactless feature ("Cards") issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited in Singapore (“Bank”) (collectively, "Eligible Cardholders"). For the avoidance of doubt, supplementary cardholders of Cards are not eligible for this Promotion. By participating in the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  3. The following cards are not eligible for the Promotion:
    1. Mastercard® branded credit cards with the contactless feature that are not issued by the Bank;
    2. Standard Chartered Mastercard® Credit Cards without the contactless feature;
    3. Supplementary cards; and
    4. Debit cards.
  4. Eligible Cardholders whose Cards’ accounts have been suspended, cancelled or terminated for any reason during the Promotion Period and until 20 November 2017 are not eligible for the Promotion.

  5. Participation

  6. To participate in the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders must successfully register their Card ("Registered Card") in the format stipulated on the website at www.transitlink.com.sg/abt (“Registration”) and agree to be bound by TransitLink Account Based Ticketing Pilot Terms and Conditions.
  7. Eligible Cardholders may register their Cards anytime within the Promotion Period. Eligible Cardholders may register multiple Cards for the Promotion subject to these terms and conditions. Eligible Cardholders need to register once for each Card.
  8. It is the Eligible Cardholder’s responsibility to ensure that the correct Card number, to which transactions are intended to be charged under the Promotion, is submitted during the Registration process. If an Eligible Cardholder, having successfully registered a particular Card number, charges an amount to a different Card which has not been registered for the Promotion, such amount will not be considered as a Qualifying Transaction (as defined at Clause 10 below).
  9. By registering for the Promotion and participating in the Promotion, the Eligible Cardholder consents to the use of his/her personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of his/her telephone number to contact him/her about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or multimedia messaging. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by the Eligible Cardholder. Such consent will also prevail even if the Cardholder is registered or subsequently registers his/her contact information with the national Do Not Call Registry.

  10. Promotion mechanics

  11. Under the Promotion, an Eligible Cardholder can stand to receive up to $30 cashback when using his/her Mastercard® Contactless Card to pay when travelling on trains and buses.
  12. To qualify for the Promotion, the Eligible Cardholder must meet the minimum spend requirement of $10 (“Minimum Spend”) in his/her total “TransitLink” transactions (“Qualifying Transactions”) in a single calendar month based on transaction date on his/her Registered Card. Each calendar month that falls within the Promotion Period shall be known as a “Qualifying Period”.
  13. If any Eligible Cardholder satisfies the conditions in Clause 10 above, then he/she will be entitled to receive $10 cashback per Qualifying Period. The maximum cashback awarded pursuant to this Promotion is capped at $30 per Eligible Cardholder. For the avoidance of doubt, this cap on cashback remains as $30 per Eligible Cardholder, regardless of how many Registered Cards he/she uses.
  14. Each Eligible Cardholder is eligible for cashback on 1 Registered Card per calendar month only. In the event that multiple Cards have been registered by him/her, the cashback for a particular calendar month will be determined based on the Registered Card with the highest spend amount on Qualifying Transactions and credited to that Registered Card with the highest spend amount on Qualifying Transactions. Please note that the Bank will not combine or consolidate the respective spend amounts on different Cards for this Promotion.
